After last years dissapointment of going to Hershey Park only to have it flodded out by Ivan, I finally had the chance to be able to ride Storm Runner.
My day started off as I pulled into the parking lot at 1:00 PM and walked over to the gates. My friend wanted to go on Comet first since it was the closest so that is where we headed first. The wait was about 20 minutes wich included a 5 minute breakdown because they got something caught in the chain. We got into the 3rd row from the back.and the ride started off. I thought the the life hill had a little bit of problems seeing it had a slight curve on it. I always have liked the Comet seeing it is a classic. I managed to get some airtime and it was fun, I also liked the free chocolate at the end

Overall: 8/10
We then headed onto the next closest ride SDL. This ride was a one train wait for front seat, that part I liked. This coaster is weird. I personally didn't feel very safe on this ride seeing I only had a lap bar. I didn't get any airtime and it was somewhat boring. Overall 4/10
Then we continued our streak of going to the next closest ride and headed to the Great Bear. The wait was about 20 minutes. We got onto the 3rd row. I loved the helix before the big drop. I personally found this ride to be very good and enjoyable. Overall: 8/10
Then finally it came time to ride Storm Runner. I had waited long enough. I had to stop to watch a few launches just to see what I was in for. We got in line and it was about a 30 minute wait. We were next in line for the 6th row and I was nervous yet excited seeing this would be my first rocket. I got onto the train and then to the launch track. By then I was so anxious and ready for it to start. Then the voce came on and I was thinking..."finally". The launch was incredible. I got tons of airtime on the first hill and I loved the drop. The heartline rolls had to be my favorite part just because they were slower than the rest of the ride making it more exciting. I personally thought the OTSR's were better than others because I had a little bit of space to move around. Overall: 9.5/10
Next came the Lighting Racers. It was about a 5 minute wait for front seat on the Thunder side. The ride was a little bit rough but very enjoyable. I didn't get much airtime but the fun of the ride made up for it. I also liked the trains. Overall: 8.5/10
We then went over to Wildcat only to find that it broke down. So we headed back to Storm Runner but this time, front. It was a 45 minute wait for the front. I have to give the front a different rating as it is a whole different experience. The front provided much more excitement. Overall: 10/10
Then we went over to the Claw. It was about a 5 minute wait. We got on and when we start getting higher I heard a noise coming from the ride and thought to myselt.."this can't be good". As we level out, the Ride Op tells us that they are having technical difficuties and they could not get us out. The problem was that the floor underneath the ride would not come up. My friend wanted to jump but with my history of injuries it was the last thing I wanted to go. After 10 minutes sitting there, we finally got off. Overall: 7.5/10
We went over to Comet again for the front seat which was a 10 minute wait and then we got dinner at Subway. The we went back to Storm Runner and got 2nd row. There happened to be a breakdown as we are two trains away but they got this problem fixed very quickly. So it ended up being a 15 minute wait instead of what would have been 10 minute wait. We finished off our day with a trip to Chocolate World.
Overall I had a very good time and LOVED Storm Runner. SR opened me up to a whole new type of coasters. I also was very impressed with the staff at Hershey because they got to the problems on the Claw and SR quickly and fixed them quickly.
