| | | Fun Fun at Clementon Park Despite living only 45 minutes away, until today, I've failed to make the long trek up to Clementon Park. I'm dissapointed that I've missed out on the Jack Rabbit, but since they've added J2, it sparked my interest, and I decided to drive up.
The Park isn't much, when we drove up I could basically see the entire park from the road. The entire park is made up of J2, the SBNO Jack Rabbit, a ferris wheel, a pirate ship, a chaos, an inverter, a log flume, and a few kiddie rides. . . That's about it. I mean it had less rides then a lot of the piers on the shore. But, despite the small selection it was a nice little park. Hardly anyone there, granted it was a monday, but I didn't have to wait for J2 once. Walked on everytime. There were probably 300 people in the park, and half of them were at Splash World.
We went right to J2 (I wish it was still Tsunami, J2 is such a weak name) I wasn't expecting too much, cause it is a pretty small coaster, but I was expecting a good ride, after numerous positive reviews. First ride I sat in the back and it was a great fast paced ride, that packed a surprising punch for it's size. I later found out that in the middle rows, it packs an enormous punch. It was extremely rough in the 2nd and 3rd cars. Not unbareable, but definately a little uncomfortable. I then rode in the front row, and wow, smooth as glass. It was incredible how much more smoothly it ran in the front row. The only real problem I had was that every ride op almost angrily stapled me into my seat everytime. It was like they were on a mission to crush me into my seat. One kept saying "This is gonna hurt" everytime he was about staple me in. I don't mind being securely fastened in, but that was ridiculous.
Overall it was a decent day(if you can really call it a day, we only stayed for about 2 1/2 hours then went to the Depford Mall.) The J2 was a great coaster in a pretty nice park, that was just a little too small.
J2-8/10

| | | I thought J2 was extremely intense. I agree with the ride being a bit too small...but I really found it to be intense. It goes breakneck speed from the drop to the brake run. The way they checked those trains drove me nuts though. When I was there, they would check all the seatbelts, then let you put down your restraints, then check the restraints. It took far longer to take the trains than the ride was (we timed it). And they were only running one train.

| | | Glad you had a good time. J2 is an incredible ride. The front is by far the greatest seat in the train. I think I might be going back this week or next. How many rides did you get on J2? I got 23 the day I was there.

yeah that's what it was like for us. Once I asked if we could just sit through, cause there wasn't a single person waiting in the station, and the guy flipped out on me. I was pretty taken back that he would get so upset. Whatever though.
I only went on it like 5 times. We ended up leaving after just 2 hours. I think we got our moneys worth though, I mean it costs 20 bucks to get in. It costs like 8 bucks to ride the Great White at Morey's once. I probably could have gone on a few more times, but no one in my group was up for marathoning it.

| | | Tsunami is an awesome ride. Heck, I'd even shout "Tsunami!" as the J2 train would be launched if I was on it recently. I just love that exit out of the helix into the bunnyhops.

| | | Well, I went to Clenton today. I got there a few mintues after 12 which is when the park opens. We went right to J2. They had one train going and it takes them forever to dispatch a train. I rode in the front the first time. It is an INSANE coaster. My favorite wooden coaster without a doubt. The first drop is so steep and so fast. The speed NEVER lets up. The airtime on the second hill is crazy and the almost 90 degree bank is betond belief. The helix is so long and very powerful. The end of the ride has incredible airtime when you hit the brakes. An absolutely amazing ride.
Of course there was no line but my friends wanted to go to the water park. So we wen and did the lazy river and then the speed slides with a mat thing. They are really fun and you pop up on the hills. We played in the water thing for a while and then we saw a gigantic dark cloud. We decided to get out of the water and got back to the park.
We got another ride on J2, this time in the back. The back is an entirely different ride. If you don't have strong sides, don't ride in the back. It is the wildest wooden coaster I have ever been on. I like the front better beause it is alot smoother but the back is just crazy.
We were then in line to get a drink and it started to rain. Then the lightning came. Some harsh strikes and loud thunder. Then, the mother of all lightning strikes hit down. I am possitive that it hit an electric box or generator or something. It was so imensely loud that my chest hurt. I heard some people saying that the lighning actually hit J2 and I think I heard an employee say that as well. Anyway, they closed the park at 3:30 ish. But we got tickets to go back for free. All in all it was a fun day and we got to ride the BEST wooden coaster ever Built!
Total J2 rides - 25
