| SFStl info?
I'm going to Six Flags St Louis on the first Sunday in August. I was wondering what kind of crowds I should expect, if there were any roller coasters that regularly had really long lines, and things of that nature. Also, how is Boss running these days? I always heard bad things... Is it ok? Thanks

The crowds should be relativly light, not as crowded as a saturday, but a little more than a weekday. Batman will have an incredibly long line from opening till about 12-1pm, later on in the day it is a walk-on. Ninja will be always be a walk-on. Same with Mine Train. Freeze I would suggest hitting up early in the day, the line may get longer, but when the line extends out of the station, the ride is always brought up to a two-train operation, which speeds things up. Boss will run two trains, and will be pretty much empty up till about 1pm or so, for Boss I would recommend waiting for front, or the very back, the middle cars tend to rough you up a bit. Also, when riding Boss, be sure to lean forward a bit, and take your back off the seat, so that all the motion of the cars doesn't go straight to your back. Hope you enjoy your day! |

Right now after looking at a map I'm thinking of going around the park in a counter-clockwise way, starting off with Freeze, then hitting Boss, then working my way around the park that way. I just hope I don't have to wait for Batman as long as I waited for the one @ SFGAdv a couple years back, that was terrible. But if its a walk on by the time I get there (that will be one of the last rides I hit so it should be after 1) it shouldn't be too bad. I'm really psyched for Freeze though, the top hat and overbanked turn looks insane. I've only been on one CCI woodie so far (hurricane category 5 @ the myrtle beach pavilion years ago) so I'm also really looking forward to Boss.

Mr Freeze probably will have a monstrous line, the rest is ok, the boss is rough, but the insane ride outweighs the roughness.

Do Freeze and Boss and Eagle until 2 or 3. Trust me, on Boss, you'll want to ride it 3 or 4 times in a row. Eagle is a 2 or 3 times in a row ride and Freeze really depends on the line. If its in the building, ride it twice. That should put you at about 2 or 3, so then hit Ninja and Batman. IDK what your times for the day will be as far as coming and going but you'll definately get in 20-25 rides if your there from opening to closing. Don't do flats unless you really want to, they all suck. Boss is best in the back for the air but do ride a front once. Eagle doesn't matter, it has barely any air. Batman is best in front but gives a powerful ride in the back. Ninja is best in front for the headchopper/chainreturn but it doesn't matter that much. Freeze is good everywhere. Its also powerful in the back.

I'm pretty sure I should be around for the full day. I'm flying in the day before (Saturday) staying in a hotel, then going to the park and I'm fairly sure staying at the hotel that evening before coming back to DC Monday. Thanks for all the info/advice on the rides and such. I'm not a big flat ride fan for the most part so I'll probably just be hitting the coasters all day... I'm going because the company my dad and I (for the summer) work for is having their "Midwest operations annual picnic" that day, he has to go to do all the networking stuff with people or something. So while he talks I'll be riding more then likely...

I thought Acme was the 7th?... ***Acme Gravity Powered Roller Ride Steel Sit Down 1975 Operating Batman The Ride Steel Inverted 4/22/1995 Operating Boss Wood Sit Down 4/29/2000 Operating Mr. Freeze Steel Sit Down 4/1998 Operating Ninja Steel Sit Down 4/1989 Operating River King Mine Train Steel Sit Down 6/1971 Operating Screamin' Eagle Wood Sit Down 4/10/1976 Operating There's still the other 6 to go with the 94 I currently have. Worst case scenario, if I come up 1-2 short at SFStl, I can still (hopefully) get out to SFGAdv and go on Thunder Road, and KK for 2 more credits.

haha yeah, apparently the one there is kind of fun though. I've always been a minetrain fan anyways.
