SFGAdv not bad, not great 7/28/05

me and my friend left my house for the park at 3 pm and got there at 4. we went straight to gasm and waited two trains for a row towards the front. a very good and underrated ride. next we went to medusa for a row towards the back with a nice long line but because of the 3 train operation, only took about 15 minutes. this felt MUCH faster than normal, very good ride. next we went to rolling thunder, i havent been on it this year which means i havent been on it since over two years ago so it was nice to get on it again. both sides were open and all the stupid guests were waiting for the side closest to the enterance because they didnt know about the other side. me, being as smart as i am, went to the other side where the wait was easily a third of the other side. with the one train operation per track, it took a good 20 minutes with the line INSIDE THE STATION! way too long for such a short line. next it was getting close to 6:00 so we went to the temple of the tiger show. it sucked. the tigers were alright but those completely idiotic dancers were the biggest waste of time. next we left the park and went to wawa for subs and drinks and went back in at around 7:30. we went to nitro, saw the line taking up all the switchbacks and went to ride skull mountain. we waited 3 trains for a bad ride because we sat towards the front but we both had 10 inch subs in our stomachs so it was alright. next we took the skyway to medusa and got another ride with a 15 minute wait. again, a fun ride. next we walked over to the chiller. i have been to the park 3 times before this and two of the times, the chiller was closed and the other the line was incredibly long all day so i hadnt ridden it in about three years and i desperatly wanted to get on. the wait was right to where it starts to go outside. we waited only about 15 minutes untill we got in the station and then another 20 minutes waiting in our row to get on the train. we finally got on and it was the highlight of my day. this ride is ****ing awesome. i didnt remember how good of a ride it is, i was blown away, i could only imagine how good kingda ka must be. it was then 9:40 and we left.

some notes: when we got there at 4:00, i saw kingda ka launch about 5 or 6 times untill 4:30 when it stopped for the day. i was really hoping it would open today but still nothing. while riding rolling thunder, you can see some MAJOR land clearing in the middle of the station and bunnyhops which will make room for the new woodie. there are also lots of trees near medusa that have the pink ribbon around them so it looks like the woodie will have a big layout. and finally, the old season pass parking lot is all ripped up and there is an oil rig type contraption on the middle of it. looks like the hotel pre-work has begun. thats it.
