CP Trip July 27-28 (First time there!)

I first would like to say that I'm from Texas and I'm used to stupid Six Flags so this park was especially amazing for me! CP is clean and has the best rides ever! Now for the report:

Planned to stay at CP for day and a half for this trip from Texas. Got to the park late on Wednesday around 2:00. Was awesome driving up to the park and finally seeing this park from distance. Got in park and went to Mantis after getting over actually being at CP. Line was kind of long.....one hour wait for Mantis. Ride was awesome though and best stand up I've ever been on. Went to MF next to wait in hour line and finally after years of anticipation got to ride the beast! OUTSTANDING ride, especially the view at top and the constant speed throughout ride. Went to Mean Streak after that and we personally thought it was way too rough and stinked horribly. CP needs better wooden coaster in the future.Went to ride Magnum next......very good ride also with all the great airtime hills. The last hill on the ride really got me!Wicked Twister was next and I looked forward to this one a lot also since I've never been on an impulse.Line was long but ride was great....especially freaky on the back spike each time!Went back to MF to get a ride in at night and boy was it even BETTER this time. The big moment finally came.....time to ride TTD for the first time! We were all intimidated just watching this ride.We waited in line for it for 1.5 hours and actually witnessed a rollback once in line! Finally got on the ride and were at the launch spot....those reving engines really scare you waiting for the launch. Dang was that a rush the whole way through! Screaming doesn't do crap since you can't even hear yourself.Went back to the hotel after this for the night.

Day 2

Got up at 8:45 and were desperate to make the 9:00 shuttle to the park.Missed it by 2 minutes! So we took a 9:15 shuttle and tried running our butts off to TTD but were not surprised to be too late....1.5 hour wait already! So we went to Raptor and waited 45 min for it.What a great ride........especially that helix at the end!Got to admit.....the ride ops moved the line pretty quickly.Went to go grab a MF freeway and made the time frame of 3-4.Went to ride Mantis again and waited for front row this time and found it to be even better.Weird thing on Mantis is that the way ride your legs tingle and feel numb!Went to ride Raptor again since everything had atrocious lines. We then approached our MF time frame and waited for front car this time since eveyrbody says it's the best feeling ever. They were right! The feeling of the front row on MF is amazing with the speed and wind combination.Especially just seeing track in front of you. Rode Wicked Twister again after MF and of course we loved it.Decided to next ride Disaster Transport since it only said 30 min wait. What a lie that was.......it was over an hour! And the ride itself was OKAY but not worth an hour wait. But the next ride made up for it......MAXAIR.This ride looked intense and I heard it was new so I tried it now.Ended up being my new favorite flat ride ever!CP amazed me again!Seems like your a lot higher on the ride itself then from the ground. Finally decided to say screw it and wait for TTD so we could get one more ride before we left the park.Dragster's line said only 1.5 hours but it ended being a LONG 2 hours.Waited for front car though since it was our last ride at CP.What an incredible experience that was!The wind made me slobber and my eyes cry....but I loved the feeling!Did a little shopping and left the park after that.

Well that's it!My first trip to CP and boy was it the best of my life!MF and TTD are now tied at #1 for my favorite coaster with a lot of others there in my top 5 and top 10.I REALLY hope CP builds some kkind of amazing coaster this year so I can come back!I pray it happens!

I'm glad you were able to have such a great time for your first visit there. It's a shame the lines had to be so long but it is a popular park and that's to be expected. Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster are my #1 and #2 favorite coasters respectively. The park is great and I love going there at least once a year. Unless you left some stuff out, you missed a few good rides and coasters but considering the park was packed, you got to do all the big stuff other than Power Tower. But being from Texas, you have Superman: Tower of Power nearby anyway.

Maybe we will get lucky for next year and they'll get another amazing coaster. We'll see.
