| | | GAdv 6/5 VERY INTERESTING DAY Well I'll try to keep this relatively short but I'm not good with that. If you want to get some very interestind news, read throught this.
Got at the park at 8:00 AM and went up to the gate. I went to GR to make sure that my friend could get in early with the coupon I got yesterday. Of course the answer was no. I had to do some talking to get my way but we eventuall got in for the Early Ride Time. While waiting at GR I had the pleasure of meeting Eastcostn07 and his friend. It was nice meeting you guys.
We get in at about 9:10 and go to KK. We get there and I am greeted by an entirely re-routed Queue. Very interesting how they COMLETELY changed it. There was about a 15 minute wait but we waited for the front which added about 20 minutes. KK was launching great and most of the train were really flying over the tower. I was there with magicpowers and it was his first time for KK. That added to the excitement. We get on at about 9:40ish. We were on Blueberry Muffin Squared(the new name for it). We got out and it was a beuatiful morning.
The launch was amzing as usuall. The most intense part of any coaster I have been on. It was very clear at the top and we could see very far. Airtime throughout the ride. Great headchoppers in the twist. And VERY smooth. I stress the word VERY.
We then got off and we saw that the line was stil 15 minutes. So we get back in line and get right into the station. This time we decided to ride a different row. While we were standing by the operators booth in between the trains an operator(cannot say his name for multiple reasons) asked if anyone knows the names for the trains. I answered him and told how It was no BMsquared. He also told me that CPB has another meaning than Cedar Point Beat It. We Got on the second row of the first car. Even rolling out of the station I could tell that the back row was rougher than the front row of a car. The launch was still great but very shakey. It was still a great ride but there was not nearly as much wind in your face which makes the ride.
We got off and guess what.......another 15 minute wait. So we get into the station and we are next in line now for the third row. We wanted to try the front of a car. We were next to get on but they said it would be down for about 15 minutes so the piston could cool down. The 15 minutes ended up being 30 but it was still worth it. During that time I got some Great information.
I talked to the same OP for some time. He told me the real meaning behind CPB which I cannot repeat on hear. I then asked him if he wanted to talk about next year. He just looked at me and said "It's all true." Heres were he went into detail. He said that it would be around 180ft. tall. It will have 2 trains. The lift will utilize the cable lift technology that is on MF. That will be very cool on a woodie and should really help capacity. He said that it will go up the hill and go down out towards WildSide Pizza and the lake. It will wrap around the lake and go back towards Vipers spot. It will then go inside of RT and do some stuff in there. He described it as a mix between and out and back and a twister. He claimed that he actuall saw the layout and I do believe him because he was a higher up. He confirmed the hotel in the parking lot. I had a great conversation with him and he was very nice. If you read this(person who I am talking about), it was nice talking to you and thanks for the info.
Our last ride on KK for the day was as well great. But still bumpier than the front. The front is by far the best.
Next up was Medusa. Back row one train wait. It felt very fast as it has been all of this year. Great ride and great hang time.
We then rode RT to get a look at the construction. It looks like most tree clearing in the RT infield is complete. I can definately see a lake going in theere. No much new here. Next up was Nitro. Back row one train wait. Amazing Airtime the entire ride. One of my top 5 coasters. We rode it twice today. The second one we were the next train to get on when the started to take one train off. That took forever but it was still a great ride.
Next was Batman. The line was in the stairs but the stairs were not air conditioned today. That was a B*itch. They had two trains running but were takin four minutes to get them out. Very slow. We rode the back. It is such a foreful ride and really screws with my head. I really like this ride.
We rode Chiller in the cak with a 15 minute wait. I liked it but it was a bit rough today. Still fast and furious though.
We watched the Magic show which was corny. We rode a few flats. The coasters shut for a bit while we were in the show because of storms but opened soon after we got out. KK seemed to stay closed though. Most likely because there was still storms in the area.
We left at 6:00 after an amazing day at the park. 3 rides on KK and many other rides. The park was empty. Not a wait all day.
If Eastcoastn07 wants to add about his day, that would be great. Thanks for reading if you stuck through it.

| | | It was nice to hear the dark blue train was back. Sounds like the dark blue train was in good working order. I am not likely to make the dark blue train the first train of Kingda Ka I ride. If anything the dark blue train will be ridden by me long after I ride the orange train for my first ride.
Now off that; I don't think the stairs to Batman the Ride has ever been airconditioned. The metal sheeting just nicely absorbs the heat, probably toasting us like Quizno's subs.

| | | They usually have great airconditioning in there. It just was not strong and was very hot.
BM2 is fine. It had nothing to do with the malifunction. Itis as safe as the other three trains.

| | | How is it Blueberry Muffin "squared" now? Is there a story behind that?
I knew for a while that the CP wasn't for Cedar Point (or at least that they say that). There are several stories floating around though, so who knows the truth.

| | | I do. HAHAHA
It is Blueberry Muffin Squared because it had to get sent overseas and repaired so it came back new and improved so the changed it to squared.

Well, there we go. I was thinking something like that since it makes sense.

| | | If this blue train was squared I'd expect it to be on the next technological level and have on-board speakers at least. It should even have a more glitzy sparkling paintjob and letters on the rear end saying; "To hell and back" if it was 2.0. It's just back in the same condition as it's minion counterparts.

| | | I used the e-mail coupon but had to work to get him in. You should call ahead just to make sure.
Eastcoastn - I was talking to this guy for a while and finally asked him if he was a member of TN. He said he was but wasn't sure what his SN was was. He said "I think it is Eastcoaster or something". I asked him if he was Eastcoastn07 and he said yes, I guess he was just confused. Oh well.

| | | So you have at least (!) 72 rides on KK? I hate to question your credibility, but I highly doubt that. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
