| Cedar Point 7/25-7/28 Day One:
The first day we arrive around 4pm. We got in one ride each on Demon Drop, Disaster Transport, Millenium Force, and TTD. Unfortunately Max Air broke down while we were in line and didn't get running again until at least a couple of hours later.
Day Two:
We wake up early and get front row rides on Millenium Force and then ride again in the back row. While our train entered the brake run and was waiting to enter the Exit Station, the ride had broke down and had some sort of malfunction. We were stuck on the brake run for about 10 minutes until they finally got us out. Becuase of that problem, our group got seperated and one half ended up getting a ride on TTD and the other half ended up staying at MF and getting Free Way passes for 1-2.
After we all got back together, we headed to the back of the park for Mean Streak. About a 5 minute wait and it was meaner than ever. However, i learned a strategy to having a fun ride on mean streak. AVOID having your back touch the seat! lol it helped a little. After mean Streak we got a ride on Cedar Creak Mine Train or whatever its called. It was pretty fun for a small coaster. Next, we hit up some smaller rides and some water rides.
By now, it was about 1pm so half our group headed towards MF while the other half relaxed and rode the Train a few times.
Later in the day we rode Raptor once (15 minute wait), magnum once (damn those lap bars are painful), MF one more time, and we rode TTD twice. The first ride was about a 1.5 hour wait and then we got on it again right before 11:00.
Day Three:
Again, we wake up early so we can ride TTD a few times before the park opens to everyone but unfortunately the clouds opened up and it was pouring rain. We decided to sleep in and go into town for some breakfast. We eventually got back and headed to the buses to take us to the marina entrance to ride MF becuase it was still opened in the light rain. The line was only about a 30 minute wait so we rode it twice. MF is almost a completely different ride in the rain. Those rain drops really sting at 92mph!
By the time we had gotten two rides on MF, TTd was testing so we ran to it. The line had already began to reach past the grandstands from the que entrance becuase they had not opened the que yet. They finally open it and we got into the station with maybe a 10-15 minute wait at most so we decided to use the time we made up by going for a front seat ride. We timed it out and it happened that the line for the front was a 30 minute wait longer than going for a middle row.
After TTD we headed back to Max Air and it was finally operating well. We waited about 45 minutes and boarded the pendelum thing. Overall, I would give the ride a 3.5/5. It was ok but not exciting or intense enough for me. I guess im just used to the big coasters.
Next up...Wicked Twister! About a 45 minute wait total for the front row. While we were in line, the ride broke down but was fixed in 10 minutes. We load the train and get shot up the first spike and on the way down...the train stops! The train stopped before the station so we could not get off until the crew manually brought the train back. So we decided to wait it out for 25 more minutes but it wasn't looking optimistic so we headed over to TTD again so we wouldn't miss our FreeWay.
It is so fun walking right past the 2+ hour line and only waiting 15 minutes. We rode the back row.
After TTd we went into the town and had some dinner. When we got back, we got in line for TTD again at around 10:30 and it was our last ride of the day.
Day Four:
Again we wake up early and are the first in line before the park opens but this time at the entrance closest to TTD. The ticket lady had trouble with our passes so we ended up being like 25 back in line for TTD. We waited a good 30 minutes before the ride actually opened.
After we got our TTd ride in we decided since this was our last day to ride some of the other coasters like Iron Dragon (sucked) and Mantis (very decent ride). We skipped out on Blue Streak (line was really long), Gemini, and Wildcat.
We ended up using our 1-2 Free Way stamps right at 1 but since they were not black stamping them, we rode MF three times in one hour using the Free Way. And the DJ was having a trivia contest. He asked when Hotel Breakers first opened, so i went back thruogh the Free Way line and answered the question correct. 1905. I got a little pin that said something like "Guest Star" or "Star Guest."
It was very hot that day so we went over to Disaster Transport. The line was the longest I had ever seen it in my 4 visits becuase of the heat. While in line someone got sick and barfed all over the place. Luckily our group realized it and avoided the mess but others didn't know about it and they stepped in it. (nasty!)
For the last ride of the Cedar Point trip, we rode TTD with the second Free Way stamp.
Overall the trip was probably the best yet even though there were so many breakdowns.
Btw, we stayed at the Hotel Breakers.
