Sylvan Beach possibly tomorrow (8/10/05)

Well, I might go to Sylvan Beach tomorrow as a compromise for Seabreeze's second postponement because I got half an inch of a toothpick stuck in my foot. i might go either tomorrow or next Wednesday because my friend that I'm bringing might go to SFDL.

Well. I just got back, and it was really fun!

After 45 minutes, we got to the park. The first ride I saw was Rock-O-Plane. Then right before we started riding, I caught a glimpse at my past: Kiddieland. i remember riding only those, the Scambler, Tilt-A-Whirl, and Bumper Cars when I was little. (The latter 3 rides are in close vicinity to Kiddieland) Now on to the present. First ride of the day, at about 1:10 PM was the most classic Dark Ride: Laffland.

Laffland: 7/10 The guy that operates the ride said to these kids "Don't you understand English? I thought I told you to keep arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times. Then we went on. The effects were cheap enough to be funny, probably they are 51 years old and aere intended ofr that use. Next was the Eyerly Aircraft Company Roll-O-Plane, the Bomber.

Bomber: 7/10 If this was a Zamerla, I would have given this a 10/10, but the ride type deubuted a looonnng time ago, so it threw me around, so it got quite painful, especially when I was tilting 90 degrees to the left while I was turning right. I got a good view of Galaxi, and sometimes I got a little floater air at the top. The ride has a total capacity of 8 people, and since there was probably less than 125 people there, it had only a 5 minute line, but that;s because they let it run that long. First, you swing to vertical, and while you are still swinging, you twiste 180 degrees, so at the top, between 40 and 50 feet in the air, you are not upside down, and when it is facing straight down, it does the same thing. Then about a minute into the ride, it tilts so instead airtime at the top, you have some lateral G's when you are tilted to the left while it is spinning clockwise. It's kind of hard to explain, but you will know what I mean when I uploadmy huge video of my summer season. If I can figure out how to edit on DVD Xpress. Then it stopped, but then it spun in the opposite direction. Next was Scrambler.

Scrambler: 8/10 I give this one an 8/10 because this one was the most forceful Scrambler I ever rode, and they ran it for 5 minutes. Apparently they re painted it to Orange, Blue and Yellow instead of the standard Silver. It was also painful when my friend rammed into me due to the Centrifugal Forces at work. Next was Bumper Cars.

Bumper Cars: 6.9/10 This is the fastest Bumper Cars I ever rode. I'm guessing you go between 7 and 10 mph. I rode in a Yellow car, and I rammed my friend a few times and I rammed a boy so he spun 45 degrees. I also rammed the same kid while he was stuck at a wall. Next was Tilt-A-Whirl.

Tilt-A-Whirl: 7/10 This one was the most forceful Tilt-A-Whirl I ever went on. Like all the other flat rides, they ran this one for a long time. It was fun, but the heat was getting to me, so I got sick to my stomach. Then I rode Galaxi.

Galaxi: 7/10 This was cool. The restraints are very high above you (and I am 5 foot 5 inches.) I rode in the front this time, and you get barely any freefall in the front. But going down the second drop, there was only a few feet of clearance, definitely a major tunnel test failure in NL, so I didn't hold my hands up at the bottom, but that was fun. Then at the top of that drop (right before the 900 something degree helix) you get some Flejector Air, more extreme then floater, bvut tamer than Ejector. The helix was somehwat forceful, and then we went up, made a small dip, went back up again, and then went through a 540 something degee helix, which was a bit more forceful. Then we turned to the left a bit, went over a small bunny hop, and turned around into the classic themed station. Oh, only 1 of the 3 trains were running (one was covered in a Blue Tarp) but the lines were never more than walk on. Then I had a Caramel Apple with crushed Peanuts and Chocolate Sprinles, and my friend had Fried Dough with Powdered Sugar. I wish the apple wasn't sour though, but that was the first Caramel Apple I had in my entire life, and it was awesome!!!! [:P] Then I rode it in the back, where i is more rough, has no airtime, aslightly more laterals, and more of a jerk on the final brakes. Then I rode Tip Top.

Tip Top: 5.6/10 It was tame, but the Hydraulic noise it made scared the crud out of me when I was younger. But going on that in 90+ degree weather and directly after eating, was a very moronic, unbelievable, stupid idea. Fortunately, I didn't puke. Next was Rock-O-Plane.

Rock-O-Plane: 6.5/10 If the restraints weren't so dang painful when I made myself when I pulled the ring like thing in the car to go upside down, this would have been given a 10. It is a Ferris Wheel, where you can pull this ring back (very hard, though) then you turn upside down, buut if you want to go upside down, try it at the lowest point of the ride. Then at the 270 degree point of the ride, the locking releases and you swing. Alot. Almost upside down, in fact. Then I went on Bumper cars again, which was fun. Since only 4 people were on the ride, including me, there was no road block like there always is at other parks. Earlier in the day 5 rode it including me. Apparently the hwite cars go the fastest. I learned the hard way. (I didn't chose whitem and my friend told me) I also noticed for the very first time, it had 2 mirrors on each side of the car. Azurra Bumper Cars rule! Then I got sick to my stomach again, and then we went on Bumper Boats.

Bumper Boats: 7/10 It is fun, but the engine vibrates quite violently, my boat went less then 2 mph, while my friends wnet like 4 mph, I only got splashed a little, and there is no dang shade at all, and it placed in a bad area, right where the sun hits you the most. but you get to run for 5 minutes. Then I went on Galaxi, sadly the last ride of the day. This time in the front. It was a good ride , being the tallest coaster in Central NY at 45 feet tall. I'm pretty sure it's the only coaster in Central NY. Then we went to the Gas station to get some drinks. My friend got Cream Soda, while I got Strawberry Lime Soda. Very yummy. (Jones Soda=awesome) Then while I was watching what Itaped today to see if anthing went wrong, I realized I taped over most of Seabreeze. Hopefull Screamin' Eagle will be open when I go there on 8/22/05. Then I got home at about 5:00 PM.
