Coasterdude and I went to SFGavd yesterday for the second time in a week. We thought that lsat weeks trip was amazing andf that it would be hard to top 3 times on KK any time soon. We were driving up to the park and it was pouring rain. It was hard too see the car in front of us it was so bad. We got there and thankfully had let up some. We went into the park and headed straight back to the Nitro area. We knew that there was no chance of KK being open because of the rain. We Then rode Nitro three times in a row while it was raining. There was basically no line at all for that. Then, we headed over to Batman:The Ride. That was good. At that point it was still raining. Since we were in that section we decided to go on The Chiller. That was running great. When we got off of that, the rain had stopped. The sun was comming out and it seemed actually quite nice. Of course, this was the signal to run straight to KK. Sure enough there were people waiting in line already. However, none of the que line was open at all. There were a good ammount of people waiting. I asked the security guard how long it would be before KK would open and he said that they wait for a full half of an hour of absolutely no rain and then they start to open it. That infamous horn sounded and one of the cars launched up the tower and made it over quite nicely. We were now thrilled that this rainy, not so good day was turning out so well and that we were most likely going to ride KK. We did get on that time and we waited for the front and it was anawesome ride. It was the best launch that coasterdude or I had ever experienced. After KK we went and had lunch.
I will now skip to the end of the day because this is getting long. We had been on KK 6 times and it was now 9:57. We had three minutes to run from the exit of the ride to the entrance again. The line was not long at all becuas it was late. We didn't wait too long and got into the station. It was now about 10:10. We were waiting in line for the front seat for our last time on the ride. The ride operator was now making announcements that anyone in line for the front had no guarantee of making it on for the front tonight and that they are sending out a limited ammopunt of trains. We kept hoping that we would get on. What happened next was the coolest thing that has ever happened to me at an
amusement park. We were the last people in line so they filled the car with employees. We were on the right station in the second car. They had already closed the left station. The ride operator switched with someone so he could ride also. It took a very long while to leave the station because the front car was not set correctly. We were chanting, Kinkda-ka. Kingda-Ka. Kingda Ka while sitting in th station. The anticipation was great. We watched the first train fly over the tower and then it was our turn. We launched into the night on the last launch of KK. Somehow me and Coasterdude wound up on an employeee train. We were the only ones that did not work at the park. It was an awesome day to say the least. It was about 10:45 when we left the park.
