TR: Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Went to SFFT Friday, July 27, and arrived at the park about 4:30.

Overall Impression: **** (out of 5)

I really enjoyed this park, even though I was battling 100+ degree weather. It has a nice setting inside a quarry/canyon, which makes for a unique trip. The layout was fairly simple to get around to. Perhaps the best feature of this park is ride theming. Practically each ride has a fitting name and well- themed queue lines (especially the log flume- bravo, SFFT!). Its downsides were sometimes rude and uncooperative employees, and some fairly dirty areas. But still, bravo, SFFT!

The Rides:

The ones I rode which I ranked from best to well, least-best.
1. SUPERMAN: KRYPTON COASTER
2. the FRISBEE
3. SCREAM
4. BUGS BUNNY'S WHITE WATER RAPIDS (IT?)
5. ROADRUNNER EXPRESS
6. JOKER'S REVENGE

1. S:KC ****1/2
Excellent! It is one awesome coaster (congrats, B&M!) The drops are steep and thrilling, and the inversions are smooth and relentless. Even though I hardly felt the mid brake run, I feel the ride could be done without them.

2. the FRISBEE ****
Ok, this may sound stupid, as it being a flat ride, but this is a great HUSSler (what I call them) where you swing like a ship and spin in your circle. Fun and full of airtime.

3. SCREAM *** 1/2
This was an excellent S&S tri-tower launch/drop thingy. I loved its sudden, smooth launches and drops, but I admit I like free falls better when it comes to the "tower rides" category.

4. BUGS BUNNY'S WHITE WATER RAPIDS *** 1/2
Two words: EXCELLENT THEMEING!!!! Set to an old bugs bunny cartoon, we journey through a castle- area along with Yosemite Sam and a dragon. This has an element I've never seen on a log ride. You drop, then do a "bunny hop" before you hit the water. Lots of air, and, well, what a great, fun ride!

5. ROADRUNNER EXPRESS *** 1/2
This is a fast, fun, well themed ride set to Wile E. Coyote's attempts to ruin the roadrunner's day. It has some fast speeds, good Gs, and some cool headchoppers through Rattler.

6. JOKER'S REVENGE *
What a waste of space! WAAAY to much headbanging and just boringness! SFFT- this ride ruins your park. Remove it (along with Rattler) and put in a good wood coaster. The best part is the queue line, for which I'll give it credit.

I'd been there before, and only rode the Rattler. I guess I should have included when I rode it, but oh well. I didn't like it. A **.
