Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure

I want to go to the UV and IOA, but i need to know a few things to finally make my decision.

A. What are all the good coasters/Rides (i only know of 2 that are good: Hulk and Dueling Dragons)
B. How long are the lines about for each ride? esp the coasters.
C. Would i need to spend more than 1 day?

thanx

If you plan your strategy, you can ride most rides at least once, with may be more than once on Julk and Dueling Dragons.

Get there early. Then hit Spiderman. Don't get lured into Hulk upon entering the park, I know the roar is very seducive.

Then got counter clockwise, start with Cat in the Hat. It's a kiddie ride, but fun. The line is going to be very short in the morning, so why don't give it a try. Flying Unicorn is a total waste of time, you can skip that. But I recommend you to try Poseidon's Fury, a pyrotechnic show. Then go on to Dueling Dragons, front row is a must. Try both Dragons because they are completely different. It's probably not afternoon yet, so ride more if the line is still short.

By the time you reach Jurassic Park, there will be lot's of people there, since it's at the back of the park as both sides' traffic converge. But don't worry, JP has the biggest capacity, shouldn't more than 30 minutes. The Pteranodon Flyer is a total waste of time. Also, don't care about the Tri$#%%&saurus Encounter too.

Dudley do Right, it's a fun ride, too bad it break down very often. Expect an hour though.... Popeye should be short in late afternoon, so don't worry. Then you again reach Spiderman, this time, try single rider lane, it saves you at least 30 minutes. As for Dr. Doom's Fearfall, it's an S&S Space Shot, if you had riddern a Space Shot before, you can probably skip it.

You should ride Hulk last, not before 3 pm coz lines will get shorter later in the day. Make use of the single rider lane too.

Incredible Hulk and Dueling Dragons are definitely worth all the wait. In Dueling Dragons, try to admire the castle queue though. It's really awesome!

You'd have to tell us when you're planning on going.

In Orlando, locals go back to school the 2nd week of August and they cut back the closing hours to 8pm. They know we're not happy with the early closing hours, it's being discussed in the Dis boards, but they call it a "business decision." In the last week of August, kids from South Florida go back to school. The place will be empty after this.

Yes, you need more than 1 day to visit both parks.

Others have already talked about the rides, they're all worth going on. The water rides are the best.

Stay On-Site if you can afford it, you get unlimited express pass access. Another sticky subject being talked about here.

Best time to visit is in February. Weather starts to warm up, noone is there, yet all the rides are running. Only negative is that they close at 6pm, but you can easily see all of IOA by the afternoon.
