Smile Martin's Fantasy Island 8/3 (Long)

Youve probably never heard of MFI on Grand Island NY. It isn't that popular because SFDL takes all the attention. Plus, for $34.95 for a family of 4 (with a coupon) and free parking, it is unbeatable.
We (my family and I) got there at about 2:00 PM. There was no line at the entrance (good sign). We first hit the waterpark, Water World, because we didn't get to at SFDL. In approx. 1:45, we got in the wave pool, took a ride on the lazy river, and got three rides on the Raging Rapids water slides.
After Waterworld, we took the nice little train transport ride thing back to the entrance to put away our stuff. At this time it was approx. 4:10 PM.
The next part of the day I hated. My siblings had to go on the Zamperla (?) kiddie rides and check out the pettng zoo (see my "Siblings" thread in General Talk). In this time I got in trouble twice with employees. Once for standing too close too the gate on a flat ride and once for chasing a turkey in the petting zoo (a guy's gotta have fun).
Next, we got something to eat. I got a hot dog and regular Moutain Dew for $3.75. Then it was time for the Wild West show thingy at 5:30 PM. I hadn't been there in 3 years and it was the same concept. While everyone waas standing around the actors at the end, we snuck off to ride the Silver Comet.
In case anyone doesn't know, the Silver Comet is a Wooden Coaster with steel supports. It's kinda rough and and kinda smooth (hard to explain). The only bad part is when you go up into an unbanked turn. OUCH! The best parts can be described in two words. "Walk-On" and "Air-Time". There was no line for this coaster. I got to ride it four times total. It gives great airtime on all 4 bunny hills.
Onward ho we go! Our next stop was the log flume. Sorry, I forgot the name, but everyone calls it "the log ride". Do not be fooled by little hills, this ride will soak you! Everyone I saw get on got off drenched.
The only other, non-kiddie coaster in the park was Wildcat, a steel wild mouse type coaster. This is a nice ride that even the little ones can enjoy. The duration was only 45sec., but the line wasn't longer than 10 people long! My mom went on once, said "Oh *******" at the top (it looked like a kiddie coaster compared to a hyper), and got sick on the two downward helixes near the end.
In between two rides on Wildcat, we rode the Ferris wheel (Gondolas). Afterward we rode the Antique Car Ride (forgot the name).
We took our last two rides on Silver Comet and a couple rides on Sea Ray, the swinging ship.
As we were leaving, I grabbed a few of my favorites, fries and mozz. sticks and we headed home. My ratings are below...
vs. SFDL
Value 9.5 MFI
Coasters SFDL
Silver Comet 7.5 ~
Wildcat 6.0 ~
Food
Price 5.5 Tie
Quality 8.5 Tie
Other
Lines (Wait) 10! MFI
Selection (Attrac. Rides) 6.5 SFDL

Thanks for the Trip Report. I will be at Niagara falls near the end of this month and plan on hitting SFDL and Martin's. Yours is the first Martin's trip report I have seen! Is their drop ride open yet??

I'm sorry to report that the daredevil drop ride wasn't open when I was there, and there were sand bags in the loading area. There wasn't a test all day.
