Great adventure...

I know its prolly going to be packed, but columbus day I was planning on going to Great Adventure. I went 4 times this season, and never rode KK due to 4 hour wait, and broke all other 3 times I went. I want to ride it if I go, but I also want to ride a few other rides, like medusa, nitro, and I really want to try the chiller again. Does it get packed that day? If all the lines are over an hour I'll prolly not even bother.

Well, you have to plan that the park will be crowded that day. Plus it will be Fright Fest which adds crowds. If you don't even want to bother with the crowds then don't go. If you want to go and just ride KK, then go. It is worth it.

I think I might go ride KK, then go back to my aunts house, and come back to ride nitro at night. When do you think it will be less crowded on the weekend? Or is it packed all sept/october?

The park is only open on weekends untill Sept. 30th. Then the park is open Fridays, (5-11) Saturdays (10-11) and Sundays (10-9)
The park is open Monday the 10th from 10-9 and the last opperating day which is Oct. 31st, the park is open 4-10.

I would say go Sunday morning, because people like to go to church sunday.
Last year brought in ALOT of people for fright fest. I would assume that it will be a larger crowd this year with KK.

It seems like Fall weekends at parks are hard to predict. When I went to CP the last weekend in September, it was more crowded then when I went and the end of June. It was also in October sometime (I believe) that the park was jammed (to the point of having nearly no parking left...people parking on grass, etc.). Then you hear stories of other weekends where it's dead... In the end though, Sunday's will be your best bet.

Your best bet is to go on a Friday night in early October (never crowded). If you have a Season Pass, they are giving KK ERT on Friday evenings.

About a day or so before going, feel free to visit www.gainsider.com and check the ride status at the right hand corner. You just need to scroll down a bit.
The ride status is updated every day the park is open.
Example. The park is open today 9/14/05 (example) the status will change by 11:59 pm of that same day.
