| Being an older guy...I think I can shed some light on it.
When I was a kid, the midway was just filled with every kind of Carnival ride you can think of. It was massive. Now I'm not just saying that in the "things seemed bigger when you were a kid" cliche. I mean, they had a variety of rides. Couple coaster style rides, dark rides, zipper/ferris wheel rides, spinners, mazes etc. etc. etc.
I had a gig there about a year ago and was really looking forward to going....they didn't have a lot to choose from. A drop tower, frisbee and the old' Swarzkopf (sp?) were the only serious rides they had there. Aside from that, a couple kiddie rides. If you're just looking at the numbers....it wasn't to much more then you're local carnival.
I would never say "Don't go, because you wont have a good time", just don't have high expectations in the ride department. They've always got some festivals going on and some exhibitions. But the rides seem to have gone by the way-side.
Having said all this....to be honest....I think it's closed for the season. You should look that up to be sure.
