| | | My first halloweekend This weekend my family took our first halloweekend trip to CP. I am a huge coaster fan and a huge halloween fan. Carn evil is great, my kids don't like clowns wich added to the fun of watching them run away and my wife as I found out is a big chicken. Werewolf canyon was great but crowded and my favorite attraction was Undertaker U. One problem we did have was the Creepy Cafe in the Carn evil area. For those of you who don't know it is a buffet that offers pizza and pasta. The atmosphere was terrible, the workers didn't do anything when we came in and when we got to the buffet all the food was room temperature except the 1 pizza they just brought out. I asked one of the employees if the food was normally like this and he said not during the summer but during Halloweekend it is usually this way. I asked the manager for a refund as we haven't eaten yet and left. I don't normally leave a restaurant as I manage one but eating cold chicken that has been out who knows how long wasn't my idea of a good idea.Other than that the park was great and the halloween theming was awesome...

| | | I was impressed by CP's Halloweekends my first time in 2000 since besides Scarowinds it was the only other haunted park i had seen. Granted i have not been to HW since 2000 so i'm sure it's alot better now but i really enjoyed Scarowinds more than HW and thought the mazes and themeing was much more well done.
I plan to make it up to CP for Halloweekends next year as well as Hershey & Dorney's Halloween events. I'm saveing Universals HHN for 2007.

| | | man yall should come to kennywood's phantom fright nights. If you get your tickets in advance at participating Giant Eagles, they are only 15 dollars, at the door they are 18.50 You can't beat that price. But N-E-Wayz, your trip report was really good.

| | | I forgot to mention one of our favorite things we witnessed when at CP this past weekend. We ate very late Friday night and decided Johnny Rockets would be a good choice. Being a child of the 80's I instantly knew Thriller when it came on and so did the employees of JR. As the song got to the middle all the employees went outside to do the Thriller dance (the part all the zombies dance in unison with Michael) it was hillarious to watch this and I would say they did a good job...

| | | I'm pretty sure it's scheduled. Every year I go they play Thriller about once an hour and each time a few of the waiters go outside to dance. On that note, I'm going this weekend, and with rumours that TTD wil lbe up, it's looking like it might get better. The only thing I'm really scared about is that me and my friend promised our girlfriends we'd dance at Johnny Rockets too...now that's scary.
BTW, raser- if you want a good buffet at Cedar Point go to Midway Market. It's a decent price and has some really good food.

| | | ^^ thanks, I ahve been to Midway Market on many occasions and we enjoy it. We thought we would try the Creepy castle buffet as it was themed to halloween. (bad choice). The burgers at Johnny Rockets were awesome...

| | | ^Steak 'n Shake.
And I think it's better that way, because you can order a double or triple with bacon/cheese and not feel the need to eat the fries that came with the burger since there aren't any.
Plus, you don't need the fries, just get a double or triple with a Side-by-side milkshake and you're set.
