MFI's waterpark

Iwas wondering what rides are at MFI's waterpark and how good they are, given I might go to the park by 2007.

I went on the park opening day 2005. So the waterpark wasnt open yet. It didnt look to go anyways. And from the map it looks really small.

Nothing much to their waterpark. Whole park is small. Best reason to go there is for the woodie, Silver Comet. Nice backseat airtime. Second best reason to go there is it is affordable. Free parking, and if you go there after 5 pm its only 8 bucks to get in and ride what you want (and thats all the time you will need).

Yeah. As a park MFI SUCKS... As a coaster Silver Comet is AMAZING and I would go back to the park just for it.

Now...I wouldn't say the park sucks...... I would say that it does not compare to the traditional large corporate or independant theme parks we are used to. I would say it is a rather small, quaint, AFFORDABLE park that uses mostly travelling versions of rides. And it has a really good woodie. If you are passing through town, stop by there at 5 pm, pay the $8, and enjoy 3 1/2 hours of fun. Thats all you will need if you go on a weekday. In fact, now that I think of it, that $8 is all I spent there. I left the park at closing and went to Buffalo for chicken wings before heading back to Toronto. Very affordable day.

No, I'd say the park pretty much sucks. This is the extent of their waterpark:

There was a lazy river and some other crap if I remember, but nonetheless it was small and IMHO not worth your time. I've actually been to the park twice. One day it was empty and I was able to do the park in half a day, but the other time I went I used the after-5 deal and did maybe half the park (though I did ride the Comet about 10 times that day). You could use the after 5 deal but bewarned.

Oh yea, eat their pizza. It was pretty good and somewhat cheap.

If you are looking for a good waterpark in the area, Darien Lake had a pretty nice one :-)

Hey, how far up the side of the funnel does Tornado go? i heard that one was a rip off, some people saying it just went straight through the tunnel.

What waterpark? All I saw was one waterslide and one other small thing. I stuck with the Log Flume for wetness.

The Tornado @ Darien Lake gave us better rides than the one at SFNE (the only other one I've been on). Either I got lucky or the people who complained were unlucky. IMHO the two-seatters do best

The flume at Martin's doesn't look like much, but man, it gets you soaked!

^^ yeah that one surprised me. Considering its an off the rack flume, that thing did as well a job of soaking me as Dudley Do Right at IOA.
