Here is a TR for SFGAdv's FrightFest 2005. I went last night, October 21st. We arrived at 4:00 and entered a parking lot with LESS THAN 50 cars in it. That's right, less then 50 cars.

We entered the park around 4:15 and ran to KK. We did not see one person between the front gate and KK. It was amazing. The first time we saw other guests was in line for KK. We got in line around 4:20 and there was about 30 people ahead of us. They were not letting people into the station yet but they did within three minutes. My brother and I got in the front row after waiting four trains. I was hoping for a rollback with the wet track and light train(lots of kids in our train). It was an amazing ride as usual. I had EJECTOR air on the tophat and nice floater air on the hill. We got three rides on KK which all had this amazing airtime. Two front row rdes and one other row ride. Total KK count :27 KK 10/10


After KK we ventured over to Medusa. Along the way we noticed the improved FF decorations they have this year. Very nice. We got on the back row of Medusa with a 0 train wait. Great ride. I love this ride. 9/10

My dad was on crutches but ended getting a wheelchair. Before he got the chair he sat down and watched Monster Mash or whatever it is called. I watched for about 5 minutes. It was ok for they had to work with. It was now around 7:00, time flies when your having fun.

We were right next to Horrow Hollow which was something I wanted to do. We got in in about 5 minutes. I like how it is a self guided walk. It was about a two minute walk around the peninsula. It was actually better than I expected but not amazing. It was something different which was nice. Some of the actor were a little bad at acting but that was ok. 6/10

As we were on Medusa I noticed some stuff back behind the arena that I wanted to check out. On the way over there we stopped and watched the Gallow show for a few minutes. It was ok and a little funny but nothing spectacular. Gallow Show 6/10

Next on the list was Terror Trail which was behind the arena. I expected it to be much like the Terror Trails they had in years past by the lake front arena. I expected it to be pretty crappy. We waited for about 10 minutes before we were able to enter. Right as we started I saw that this thing was LONG. It weaves around back behing Medusa and into the woods. It utilizes some buildings that are back there. The actors in this one were actually good. It is hard to describe what happens but I can tell you that it is good. If you are going to wait for it, it is worth about a 30 minute wait, depending om what you want to do at the park. It was definately the best FF attraction they have had in years. Very impressed. Terror Trail 10/10

Next we made our way across the park to Nitro. We went on the 6th row. This was one of the best rides I have had on Nitro to date. I don't know if it was the cold air or what but it was awesome. There was an amazing combination of floater and ejector air. The air was everywhere. I got air in places I had never gotten any before. I got some crazy sideways air on the hammerhead. Usually I get pushed into my seat there but this time I came out. I got airtime on the dive drop into the helix. It was strange. When we hit the brakes my dad and I looked at eachother and we were both in shock. He said "I forgot how awesome this ride is." I have ridden Nitro 144 times and have never had air like last night. Nitro 10/10

We then went over to the Hayride. We had a time reservation so we did not have to wait. I was not expecting much as the Hayride has been very lame in years past. Nothing different this time. It was actually one of the worse one they ahve had in the past few wyears. It was very short and very dull. 2/10

Next we went over to Chiller. We rode one time in the middle. My dad's boot for his ankle would not fit under the feet restraints but he wanted to ride. He took the boot off which I did not think was too smart. As he was hoping back to the train the operator said "launching in 3...2...1. Just kidding don't fall over" It was very funny. The ride was nice with the strobes but I think it would have been better in the front row. Very smooth though. Chiller 8/10

Next... HYPNOSTERIA. I am going to give aaway some stuff that happens in the show. The show started around 10:05. My brother and I ran up and got a seat. I was up there last year but it did not work on me. This time was a bit different. In the beginning he has everyone get very relaxed. He goes through some stuff that relaxes your muscles and whatnot. It was a very strange feeling and hard to describe. at one point he says that you will not be able to open your eyes. I tried but could not. It was so strange. I was hearing what he was saying but at the same time I was very out of it. After about 10 minutes I got sent back to my seat though. It was a very neat experience. I am going to try again if I go back this year. My brother however stayed up there. He gives several people different things that they are going to do when they wake up. He said to my brother that he would go up to him and ask for bandaids every 20 seconds and put them on his face. He did. He also said that the first sip of anything they drink after the show will taste horrible and that they would think that they were not hypnotized and they were only up on stage for about 3 minutes. Sure enough my brother thought he was only up there for 2 minutes. The first drink of water he had tasted like mold. And he did not realize he had bandaaids on his face until we left the theatre and were walking around the park for 5 minutes. He had no clue were he got the 'stickers' or how they got on his face. It was halarious. After about an hour he started to remember some things that hadppened but denied he was hypnotized. I think he was.
HYPNOSTERIA 10/10 recomended show.

Contruction: I did not notice anything different with ET's construction. I could not get a good view though. As we were leaving the park we stopped by the Preview Center. Everyone in there was very entertained byt the videos and pictures.

I was there too that day and I thought the actors walking around weren't scary at all because there weren't alot there was only 2 clowns near GASM and SM:UF , 1 stalking dead person and a knight who was smashing his blood coved spear into his sheald on the lakefront,no one in golden kingdom or near nitro, 1 jason,2 shovel people,1 dead hocky player near RAT and medusa

I enjoyed the strobes in the CHILLER launch tunnel. If there was the right timing one would get the in your face ones strobing very boldly. I'm a little disappointed they moved the strobes under the track in the observatory into the tunnel. It would have been better if they were above the track in the observatory. I'm glad you were able to give me a heads up on the Terror Trail next to Medusa. I think I'll try that next time.
