Great Adventure Busiest Day Ever??

OK...well I just got back from a visit to SFGAdv and let me tell you it was the busiest day I have ever experienced at the park. The trip down Route 9 and 537 was fine, but as soon as we passed the GA marquee sign, all three lanes were backed up and crawling. After about 20 min of slow traffic, I noticed that the main parking lot was full, the few backup parking lots were also full, and they were loading traffic into the Hurricane Harbor parking lot. HH is closed of course. We had to walk across the entry road to HH full of moving traffic, through two wooded areas, across the main lot parking booths, next to the parking lot construction zone and all the way across the main lot to the main gates. Each line had about 50-60 people in it at least and all booths were open. Up to that point, we were kind of on the fence about whether to stay or go, so after about 10-15 min in line for the ticket booths, we decided to leave. After the long walk back to the car, we left the park. The HH parking lot was now almost 3 quarters full if not more. On the way out, we noticed traffic into the park had backed up out of GAdv all the way down past Wawa, past Route 195 and past the Jackson Outlets. This was all around 5-6 PM.

Good to say though that KK seemed to be running great, so was Nitro, Scream Machine. Superman seemed to be having some trouble at first, but when we left, it started up again.

If today wasn't the busiest day ever, at least the busiest day this year. I could be wrong though, who knows? Wonder if they ever close the park because of capacity. It sure looked like they might have to today.

No, it was busy, but not the busiest ever (54,000 people on a July 4th with a Beach Boys concert in the 80's). Cars were backed up onto the interstate.

With as nice as this last weekend before Halloween has been I was not surprised it would be one of the busiest weekends of the year. I might just go for one last ride on Kingda Ka after the EAGLES game.

^you should, it was running great.
Today was packed at 1:00. Scream Machine had a long line and KK was back to the Tiger Show. Houdini was extreme.

Oh yeah, and yesterday there were signs that warned you about huge crowds.
