| | | Hotels near Busch Gardens Tampa I'm going to BGT for only one day soon and travel plans have me arriving in Tampa the night before.
Does anyone have any tips on where to stay close to the park?

| | | Umm, in short- don't. Most of the hotels around the park are of the rather seedy variety.
If you really want to stay near the park, then book through a national company. I know there is an extended stay hotel on one of the corners nearby, but don't remember exactly which one it is. But that's likely to be your safest bet if you really want to stay nearby. Otherwise look away from the park a little bit.

| | Last month I stayed at the Comfort Inn that is on Busch Blvd and near the freeway interchange. It was a pretty decent hotel, though I'd make sure NOT to stay in one of the 'mom and pops' places. The Comfort in cost me less than $150 and that included the room for the night and a slightly discounted ticket. Plus, they offer shuttle service to the park and free brekfast. |

| | I stayed at this Best Western a few years ago and was very pleased. http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwest...ertyCode=10296
You can see Kumba from the hotel room, and the amenities are nice.

| | | I stayed at AmeriSuites and was quite comfortable. The hotel is NW of the park.

| | | Don't stay at the Days Inn near BGT. Very old hotel, bad neighborhood.
