Who cares if you havent been on in a long time, you met Jim Seay!

=) Nice photos!

The midway looks a little pathetic this year. Did they give any reason as to why it was so sparse?

As everyone has said, where's the midway? There's barely anything out there. Great pics.

Disk'o's are fun and all, but they aren't as amazing as I thought they'd be.

Thanks for the pics and welcome back to DeKa....don't be such a stranger. I can't wait to be sitting in that royal blue Voyage train in May! I love the paint jobs PTC puts on those things (I'm thinking specifically the sides of Legend's rolling stock).

From what I have seen, this looks like one of the crappier IAAPA events.

That looks cool however, what was it?

I also liked the spinning dragons/timberland twister models as well as the Ozark Wildcat one (not exactly the same though, for some reason).

By the way, I think Chiller was being sarcastic...

Actually, the color scheme on the Gerst. spinner was for Mr. Six's Pandemonium, but I caught your drift.

The indivdual arm "jumps" (thanks to compressed air/pnuematics) up and down while they go in a circle. There are different jumping patterns that alternate during the cycle, giving some oodles of odd airtime. Sartori first (I believe) made this style of ride and called it Techno Jump. ARM built their version, Mega Bounce, which is pretty darn fun. The one pictured is from Zamperla.

They mostly seem to run at fairs, but Cypress Gardens has an ARM Mega Bounce.

That's a bootleg techno jump style thing... every year I've been to IAAPA (last 3 times) there's been a ride called the techno jump, but this year they didn't have one... they instead had this thing, which is exactly like a techno jump only less intense and feet-dangly (it has a low floor though). It wasn't very ...

Boring and painful? Have you actually been on one? I'll admit that it's not the most thrilling ride out there- at least not for me, but boring isn't a word I'd use to describe it. And the restraints are some of the most comfortable I've experienced on a ride.

By the way DeKalb, thanks for the pictures! Great to get a good look at what I'm missing this year. Can't wait for it to come back to Orlando again.
