Holiday world Planning

I am planning a trip in the spring for Holiday world.

#1. When is the best time to go in teh spring to enjoy the waterpark but less crowdes?

#2. should we plan two days at the park or just one?

Thanks, I need to know soon so I can ask for time off, make camping reservations etc way ahead of time!

I went the week before Memorial day and I did almost everything (exluding the water park) in about 2 or 3 hours.

You don't need 2 days. It's a small park, not as small as Lake Winnie but not a huge park by any stretch.

There will be a 2 day coaster even there the week before Memorial day this year so you might want to avoid that week.

1 - I went at the start of june and the water park was open. I didnt use it but I did walk around in it and it seemed to have a lot of people.

2 - I was done with the park within 2 hours and after about 4 hours... I was bored and wanted to go. I couldnt even think of spending 2 full days at the park.

If you have 2 days to work with why not spend one at SFKK? or maybe even PKI (I myself think KK is better)

^ the coasters... yes. The park...no.

KK looks like it was abandoned for 10 years and then they just opened it up on a whim.

Beware of T2.

Go to PKI if you go anywhere besides HW. Italian Job is actually a very good coaster. My advice as far as Holiday World goes: head for Voyage and the new dark ride right away, as they will be the most popular because they are new.

Not to hijack the thread, but I've been wondering this for about a week now. Is holiday world worth the drive from the Philadelphia area? It's about twelve hours.

No its not.
I felt the park was VERY Overated and I was let down A LOT by Raven. Legend was great but ONE good ride and then a few crappy ones arnt worth a long trip to go ride.

^ I'm glad someone else agrees with me on Raven.

Voted most overrated wooden coaster.

Well, you guys just saved me a weekend then. I'm sure I'll hit it eventually, but now I won't plan it for this year. Thanks.

That's not arrogant... Something that occured might be changing your opinion of the park. I guess also for you the drive is longer. That was like going to SFOT and driving 800 miles to get there compared to SFGAm 5 hours. I like SFGAm better now...

I've never been but am going the 16th. I'm pretty sure I'll get what I want in the 8 or so hour day I'm there. We won't do the water park, just coasters.

Good luck and have fun cannonballer!

Cool well at leat I know we can go on the weekend and explore the town and visit the lincoln state park, do some other stuff AND visit the park too!

The only thing is I still need to come up with a time, before school lets out that is warm enough for the water park. Wht is the second or third verm enough weekend typically? If I knew that I could really plan ahead better and go ahead and book our campsite!

Thanks for all your tips!

On average you think the wait for Voyage will be more than an hour if it arrive soon after its opening?

All I know is that the college kids will be out May 16th but the others won't. You probably won't get the waterpark and a 'no-kid' day all together as late as Memorial Day is. You probably allready realized though that if you go a week after school lets out you'll find alot of the families on vacation.
