SFoG 6/5/06

So yesterday I went to SFoG with my brother after we had finished swimming practice. We left at about 9:50 and got to the park by 11:15, which was record time for us.

We immediately went to Goliath, where we found the wait at the base of the stairs leading into the station. We rode in the back, then got back in line and rode in row 3. By this time, it was a bit after 12, so we headed to the back of the park, where we found DejaVu to be closed, but would be opening later. We took the Skybuckets back to Goliath, which now had a slightly longer wait due to the terribly slow ride-ops (they were stacking trains for 2-3 minutes each time). We waited for the front, and got lucky with a pair of two open seats. We then went around and got on with another open pair of seats, this time in row 7. We rode Scorcher on our way out and ate lunch at our car.

We came back in to find that Goliath's line was inside the station, and that there was a 1 train to walk-on wait depending on what row you sat in. We rode 9 times in about 1.5 hours, and then headed over to Mindbender, where the station was empty (and they were running two trains!). We got on Mindbender and rode 7 consecutive times, stopping only because we wanted to, not because we had to get off (we could have gotten 50+ rides on it if we had wanted). We then got some Ben & Jerry's ice cream and a free water, and then rode Monster Plantation.

After that, it was time for a walk-on to Acrophobia and then a walk-on to the money seat of Cyclone (6-1) and 3 consecutive rides there until someone came to take our seats.

We then headed oer to Goliath at about 5:30 to get in some more rides before we left at 7 pm. We managed to get only 7 rides because the same op from earlier was back and was stacking the trains and also because more people were getting in line to get their final rides in. We ended up getting 7 more rides, for a total of 20 on the day. If we could have stayed for 1 last hour, we would have broken 30 easily, because the line was getting really short for those last 2 rides.

Overvall it was a great day, even though I really black out a lot on Goliath's helix, which gives me a small headache (I think it was because I was tired and dehydrated). In the end we got 34 rides in:

Goliath-20
Mindbender-7
Cycone-3
Acro-1
Skybuckets-1
Monster Plantation-1
Scorcher-1

I rode goliath 20 times in a row once. It really wasn't too wise.....all those g's and floaty times really take a toll on your body. I thought I was going to pass out after 15 rides.

Isn't it amazing how fast/short Goliaths line always is?
