| | | Morey's Pier 5-28-06 My friend had a gig in Sea Isle on Sunday afternoon so we decided to run over to Wildwood afterwards to get Great White out of the way for the summer.
I have ridden Great White before, but not in many years. I had forgotten what it was like for the most part. We rode two times. Once in the back and once i the second to last row. The drop out of the station is great. There is some rally fun airtime in the back two rows. The first drop was great. We rode in an extremely foggy setting(you could not see the beach from the boardwalk) which added to the excitement. This is a very nice, and somewhat intense coaster. The hills on the return trip are hidden from the pier and pack a nice surprise. They have some GREAT airtime. I really liked this ride. I definately reccomend getting on it if you are in the area.
8/10
We rode a few other rides, but that's not important. Next was AtmosFear. It's a long walk to the far pier, but we did it. I wasn't expecting much from AtmosFear. I figured it would be your average drop tower, nothing like Drop Zone. Boy did I underestimate it. When I first walked up to it, I watched it cycle a few times. I noticed that when it came down, everybody was laughing. What could be so funny? It goes up the tower VERY slowly. Then it drops, VERY fast. While standing next to it, I even got that delayed rush of air that comes down after Drop Zone. So we get on. On the way up there is this spiel about storms in the area and whatnot, which I liked. It is a slow acent. We got to the top and..... WOW.... it just dropped.....FAST. This ride had amazing airtime. I was thrown into the restraint. When we slowed to a stop, ofcourse I, along with my friend, was laughing. It just does that. It is so shocking that laughter is the only thing to do. Awesome ride.
As far a drop towers go, this is my number 2, after Drop Zone at PKD.
9/10(for a drop tower)

| | | I've always wanted to go to Morey's Pier. Sounds like a fun park(s) with a lot of unique things.
Nobody every talks about Great White. From what you said about it, sounds fun with a lot of airtime, and with it going out onto the beach, provides for a wonderful setting.
I know what you mean on a ride like AtmosFear. Ridden one like it. Takes forever to get up, but blasts down so fast. Its great!

| | | I go to Morey's Piers every year and it's a fun time for the teen. (Alot of girls on the boardwalk)
I must say though, I really didn't like AtmosFEAR. They only had the pressure at 80% which was free fall.(I was talking to the ride op who was reciting the voice over of the ride). What I did like was the theme(not theming, there is none) and the voice over like on R'n'R.
I rode 17 times in a row last year by running around to the other side. Until one time where the line was too big.
You only rode 2 rides while there? I know Nor'Easter is closed but what about Sea Serpent and the cheesy dark rides or did u just get tickets?

| | | We rode a few dark rides while we were there but nothing else big. We only had an hour and a half to spend there as my friend needs to be off the road by 12:00 because he has a cinderella license.

| | | Do they have specific wrist band times like some fairs? Or always an on option? With a larger park like this I'd think they would.
Also, a cinderella license?
