SFOG Discounts

I am FINALLY heading over to SFOG on 6/19/06 and can't wait to ride GOLIATH! I know it'll be great.

Anyways, I am not going to pay for a full price ticket. Any good discounts or places on-line where I can get a good price for this park?

Thanks in advance.

Brooks~

Publix dude. Publix. They have tons of coupons hanging up on hooks at the checkout lines.

Also! Listen to me, Parking is now 20 bucks at SFOG. When coming into the park entrance, right at the Goliath helix, do not turn left to go past the park entrance to the main lot. You want to take a right past the temporary gravel lots, and go about a quarter mile down to the hotel on your left. Parking there is only 10 bucks, and you only have to walk an extra 50 feet or so!!!!

Sorry, I should specify. 20 for the temp lots right by the gate, 15 for the regular lot.

The temp lots suck-they will lock you in sometimes if they want to go home, it really pissed me off. We went for FrightFest last year on the first Friday night (deserted, btw) and when we got out there at like 12:45 (we got the last ride of the day on B:TR), the lot was locked up with our car and one other still in it. For some weird reason the other people had a huge hedge clipper in the bed of their truck and manged to cut the chain so we could go home.

You can either do what slipknot says or you can just park in the main lot and get a free giant map (wheee!). There is no differentiation between lots anymore, so you can park really close to the gate in the Cyclone lot for the same price as way over by B:TR (it's even closer than the temps if you get there early enough).

DANG! That is expensive and crazy ridiculous. How do they get away with that?! Thanks for the warning.

How much is the discount from Publix?

Um....I think it gets you in for around 30 bucks, instead of 54.

/\ Haha.

I think my best bet is buying them from Publix before I go. The 1 person I know that owns a seasons pass leaves to go out of the country on Sunday so I don't want to bother them about mailing me a coupon.

I went back in April and Publix is what we did too. There's a few of them within about 5 miles of the park in either direction. Thankfully I had GPS on my cell phone and it got me to the Publix by Martin Luther King Road or whatever it is, which was only about 5 minutes from SFoG. I know there's another one that's one or two exits past the Six Flags exit (if you're coming from downtown)

if you had aaa, I would get it from them..paid same as publix but got coupons for free drink refill on Sov. cup (big deal .99 I know) and 20% merch. at looney toons or six flags expo at front gate...15 is still crazy for parking though...I can park at Disney for 9...SF is def. starting to over price their parks

Publix passes vary by location, $30 is about norm, which is still better than $50 at the gate or $40 online. Coming from NC, the one downtown at Atlantic Station may be your best bet (publix.com has a store finder I'm sure)

Parking is $15 everywhere (and, as far as I could tell, in the gypsie lots since I used it just a few weeks ago) and I'd go with the main lot since, unless you get their really early, the close ones will be filled up, and you get the added bonus of security and a $5-value map.

^ And by the same token, Disney under-prices their parking, especially since there is no way anyone could truly compete with them since they have such a huge biffer between Disney property and other land.
