Disney World - 4 parks in 3 days 6/5-6/7

I left with all my friends for Orlando on my senior trip Monday morning on a 7:15 flight from Newark to Orlando. Once we landed, we had to wait for the next flight that was bringing the other half of my class down so we didn’t end up leaving the airport until around noon. The bus took us straight to the Magic Kingdom, we got our 3-day hopper tickets and went in. For most of the trip, we walked around the parks with me and six other of my friends.

Magic Kingdom was packed and we didn’t feel like going to another park so we stayed for the day. We went straight to Tomorrow Land and while everyone else ate, me and one of other friend went on the Carousel of Progress. Very boring and it stopped in the middle of two scenes which was painfully worse. Space Mountain was like 100 minute wait so we skipped it and walked over to Splash Mountain but the line said 80 minutes so we got fast passes and then waited in line for 50 minutes to ride Thunder Mountain. The ride shouldn’t be worth anywhere near that wait but all the lines were long and not much is less boring. We then went to the Haunted Mansion which was during the parade so only waited 10 minutes. Not very exciting. We then walked through thick crowds into Fantasy Land and waited about 20 minutes for the painfully boring Snow White. We then went back to Splash Mountain and waited about 10 minutes with our fast passes for a boring ride besides the drops. We went back to Space Mountain but it was still long and the fast passes would have given us times after we had to leave so we were all hot and tired so we went on the Carousel of Progress again and then on the Transit Authority twice in a row. I realized at the end of the trip how big a mistake it was for us to go to the Magic Kingdom, there was very little for us to do. We had to meet at the bus at 7 to go eat and back to our hotel.

The next morning we were dropped off at MGM for our only full day on the trip. The crowds at MGM were much less than at MK all day. We went in and went to Rock n Rollercoaster and got fast passes and then waited about 30 minutes for Tower Of Terror. ToT is my favorite ride in Orlando. Its just amazing. Then we went to the Great Movie Ride and then back to RnR to use our fast passes. Then we went to Who Wants to be a Millionaire where I came in seventh place for the fastest finger question. I never made it to the hot seat but its still one of the most fun attractions at Disney. Then we did Muppet Vision, Sounds Dangerous, Backlot Tour, RnR and ToT once again each, Star Tours, and Indiana Jones Show, but the highlight of the day was Lights Motors Action stunt show. What those cars and motorcycles do in the show is ridiculous. Its definitely the best show at any park. We had to meet again at 7:00, ate dinner, then back to the hotel to hang out for the rest of the night.

The third and final day, they brought us to the Animal Kingdom. We had to meet at 4:00 because we had to catch out flight so we rushed. We went straight to the busses to go to Epcot. We finally got to Epcot around noon, got fast passes to Mission Space, waited about 20 minutes for Test Track, then used the fast passes for Mission Space. We then went back to Animal Kingdom, waited about 70 minutes for Expedition Everest, then about 20 minutes for It’s Tough To Be A Bug. I was a little let down by EE. The backwards helix was cool but the yeti was too quick and there wasn’t much else to the ride. Compared to the Mummy, I think the Mummy is way better. The 3D show was extremely good, probably right behind Terminator in terms of 3D shows. We then ate dinner and flew home.

I barely got any sleep and did nonstop walking for three straight days so I was looking to get home. But it was still fun being with my friends and all but probably would have been better if we didn’t go to the Magic Kingdom.

I went recently to Walt Disney World on a band trip and really none of the parks were that great. Expedintion Everest was good and going backwards was great but it was so built up I was expecting a lot more so like the rest of the parks I expected more than what I got. Other than that and the 10 or so VERY rude cast members I encountered the trip was great I got to be around my friends like on your class trip and I did get to go to Disney for a very cheap price for five days.
