Looking for Tell City Lodging Advice

I recently went to Holiday World and stayed at Days Inn Tell City. That was a mistake (see Blacklisted Hotels thread).

Since I plan to go back, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of other places to stay there or closer to Holiday World.

Santa's Lodge in Holiday World.

It's well kept, and close.

Aside from that, there are decent motels in Dale and Ferdinand.

Try the Baymont or Motel 6 in Dale, IN.

I just stayed at the Baymont and it was pretty nice. Not as nice as say a Fairfield, but still clean and a nice hotel.

Oh and I just remember there is a Holiday Inn Express that looks nice that is on the exit where you get off I-64 to go to Holiday World. I'd try there first. I can't seem to find it on the holiday inn website, weird.

www.holidayworld.com has links to most of the local hotels.

Santas Lodge is a bit expensive IMO.

The Ramada Inn Limited in Tell City was in pristine condition when I was there last week, and was reasonable at $59 a night. Booked it on the internet --- the only way to go ;-)

Cant beat their breakfast setup either.

Santa's Lodge...you can literally walk to the park from there. It is definitely the closest hotel to the park. I liked staying there.
