Newbie thread title and question - yes they would fall. My friend has lost his glasses while another lost keys on NITRO.

It really depends on the coaster.

Why would you need sunglasses on a coaster? I mean I could understand regular glasses...

If you want to wear glasses on a rollercoaster so you can see, just get an athletic strap. That's what I do when I decide to wear glasses instead of my contacts. Your glasses won't go anywhere. Mine stayed put even on Kingda Ka.

I wear them on most rides but I take them off on some if I can't reach them because of a restraint (eg. Mondial restraints).

If there's any part of a ride that slows down, just re-check that your glasses are still on properly and securely.

It really depends on the coaster, and how well the glasses fit your head. I had a pair of oakleys that stayed on fine while riding Millenium Force.

Of course, when I rode Voyage with them in my pocket... Well, I got some new ones.

I would not suggest wearing them without a strap. I always wear an athletic strap and it works fine. On some coasters, like KK, they do not let you ride with glasses on unless you have a strap.
