SFoG Thursday, 6/22/06 Great day, with crowds.

Well today was pretty darn good. The first of the day started out really good, with us arriving at the park at 9:45, and everything was already open! So we got in with our prepaid tickets and ran straight to Goliath, which was all the way into the station, but with really slow moving people walking glumly through the line. We rode on the second to last seat, and had an awesome time. Then, I knew S:UF would get crowded soon, or Deja Vu, if it was open, (which it wasn’t. ALL day!!) So S:UF had NO line! I was absolutely amazed. We got to ride it 3 times in a row without having to go around, in the second to last row. I love that ride! Then rode GASM 2 times in a row, no going around, then Ninja, which sucked! Really hurt, then we went on the skybuckets over by Acrophobia, and we decided to try it. (I was super freaked out) So we rode it, and when the seat tilted, It was really scary! So we ended up riding it twice in a row! Loved that! Then, we went to Mindbender, which was breaking down and stopping at the top of the chain hill several times during the day, and rode it twice. The first time we waited awhile, because it broke a lot. Then, everyone just left, so we rode it again. By this time, I was totally dehydrated, and went to drink at the little 70s type restaurant by Goliath. Then, I rode Shake, Rattle, and Roll and it was so awesome in the dark! Then we were so hot, so we went and waited about 35 minutes for Thunder River, just to get drenched under the waterfall! So then I went and ate some nachos, and got on the skybuckets again to go back and ride Cyclone, twice, then Acro one last time. Then we rode Freefall which wasn’t that great anymore, o well. Then Batman, which I didn’t really like either, then MIndbender 2 more times, then Scorcher, Log Flume, Then Mine Train, and while we were about to get right on, a huge thunderbolt, (lol) was loud, but it didn’t close! So we rode in the very back in the rain, then it closed, and we went home.
I had an awesome day, Goliath is my #1 roller coaster, (better than Apollo, sorry) and Acrophobia my #1 none roller coaster! But the park was pretty crowded today, O well, it was awesome.

I was there in the early evening, and it was so FREAKIN' HOT!!! OMG.

I have college classes in Douglasville, forcing me to pass Six Flags on the way. I have a parking pass and season pass, so basically I take a half-hour trip once or twice a week, just to get a couple of rides in.

Anyways, my usual trip... I get an awesome parking spot in the west lot, get all the way to Goliath. There's a 30 minute wait. "Screw it." I walked straight back to my car, and went on to school. It was too hot to enjoy anything. Crowds were a little heavier than a normal non-weekend day. Didn't wanna be sweating profusely before going to school.

A really sad trip, honestly. The SMOG alert made for some awful heavy air, and a terrible day to take pictures. Visibility was ridiculously low. Etcetera.

Glad you had fun, Erms12. Hope the heat didn't getcha.

yes, around what was supposed to be lunchtime, (12:30) I was ridiculously hot over-de-hydrated so I got a large diet coke. The heat made me not want to eat anything at all! So when I rode S,R, and R It felt alot better. But yeah, the Goliath line really sucked!
