SFGAdv 6/22 Arriving at the parking lot around 12:30, my dad asked about prefered parking. Last year, they said forget about it. This year, we were able to make it. We parked right next to Superman, and it was around that time I saw the El Toro and Kingda Ka trains flying through their tracks for the first time since arriving. No lines at all to get the tickets and enter the park. Things were looking up.
Naturally, we ran straight to ET. Unfortunately, it was closed for the moment. We were thinking to go to either Medusa or KK. KK was first, since we knew Medusa would be up later and Ka's operation schedule is a mystery. We saw what looked like an hour and a half line for Ka. We figured it was OK. Turns out, we waited 3 hours 40 minutes. No breakdowns. They weren't even moving the green train to launch position until new riders were in the teal one. Much different than last year. Launches were like this
Launch, 2 minutes, Launch, 6 minutes, repeat. Rediculous.
At least it was a great ride. Air from the 90* spiral up to the end of the 270* spiral down. And on the air hill.

We rushed to El Toro. The line looked what could have been only 45 minutes to an hour. But, with the loading so slow, it was longer. Then, the person who let people into the station would wait for people with Flash Passes before letting the "real" line in, even if there were none. Of course, there were no fans or misters to cool us down in the 85* + weather. To top it all off, B train was running with a missing wing, which brought down the already bad hourly capacity. The A train looked to be in perfect condition. 1 hour and 45 minutes waiting for it. Funny, a guest with a Flash Pass gets in the flash pass line, waits for five seconds, and says,"This is rediculous." In the station, a kid behind tries to show off to his friends."Yeah, but this ride is shorter than Son of Beast, which has a loop. But its in North Carolina."
El Toro is simply amazing. The drop is literally breathtaking, and the hills are ejector air after ejector air. Headchoppers made everyone in the train duck, and sitting on the inside of turns really makes you feel a little claustrophobic on the highly banked turns. The crossover over RT has insane air time, and the twister section is named correctly. Twist after twist into a high G helix, great ride

A lot of people at the TBS and AVA concert now. Medusa up next. Its 7:10 and the park closes at 8. We head over to Medusa. Its running two trains, and every once in a while, there is a little stacking. 30 minute wait. 4th row
Medusa: 9.5/10
Management:8/10
We get off at roughly 7:45. We run like hell to El Toro. Big surprise, its closed. We retrack back to Medusa and at 5 minutes to 8, we stand in line. Five minutes later, we're on. Second-to-last row. A 10/10. The people behind us get in to not even halfway fill the next train, but there are still 4 people waiting for the front. The people in the front move to the various open seats for a re-ride. Usually, My restraint goes as far in as possible on the ride. For some reason, for this ride and the ride before, I still have one more notch to go. This gives me a little more freedom. I floated with out touching the seat or top of the restraints through the 0 g roll. The trims don't seem to be on, so the last half is really intense and packed with airtime. We get back to the station with about 8 people with VIP passes to the rides. The op tells us to get off and anyone who wants to go again can stand against the wall while they load the VIP people. Me and my brother get in the back while sister is one row in front of us. My restrain goes all the way down, but still an amazing ride.
Some other bad things that happened:
A group of kids cut in front of us on the train because one of them has a sprained ankle. We get off the ride and see them playing musical chairs with the wheel chair.
The girl gets her family closer to the front of the line on Ka by flirting with the Security guard and saying her brother is sick from heat exaustion, but feels well enough to ride.
Wierd day. We went on 3 different rides in 7 and 1/2 hours. I'm not surprised at all why SF might have to sell off some parks. I definately won't go back to the park for a while after this.
