| Indiana Beach, July 16th I won't go into the "First I rode this, then I rode that..." stuff- not my style.
It was the day before my daughter's 6th birthday, so we went up to my wife's hometown for a little party with my wife's family. We were only about 20 miles from Monticello, and we planned a surprise trip to IB for my daughter, who loves it there.
In fact, she pointed out a couple of times that we were close, and asked if we could go. I told her- "it's too hot, some other time."
She didn't figure out we were going until we pulled into the South parking lot.
Crowds were down, probably because of the heat. Never more than a one cycle wait for anything. We even got a few rerides on Hoosier Hurricane and Cornball.
Cornball definitely runs better in cooler air. It was still great in the heat, but the difference was noticable after the sun went down.
And, the proudest moment of the day was our last ride of the night- my daughter and I, in the front seat of Hoosier Hurricane- she rode hands up all the way- and she wasn't even six years old, yet.
That's my girl!!!!
