Cool Kennywood-an airtime oriented park-7-24-06

After riding every ride in the park, I stumbled across an important fact: Kennywood is loaded with airtime.

I had four friends with me, Jim, height hater, Matt, kennywood first-timer, Josh, Mr B-ball, and Dustin, the Sk8r.

As stated before, Jim hates high things, and especially hates being on them. As soon as we turn the bend and entered West Mifflin from the south, you could see the famous skyline... The imposing black and green structure of the Phantom's Revenge and the towing Pitt Fall with its black and yellow Steeler theemed tube stretching into the sky. Matt, the "noob" started drooling over how tall it was. Jim's jaw hit the floor of our van and actually broke through the floor and was dragging on the highway. He made it very clear that he will never go on it or the Phantom's revenge. Josh and Dustin have seen it beforeand didn't even take notice this time.

A few minutes later, we found ourselves in the park walking towards the Phantom's Revenge. We managed to trick Jim into thinking it was the queue for the turtle. By the time he realized we were in line for the Phantom's Revenge,we were 15 feet off the ground and entering the station through the Phantom himself. Through ways of force, Jim found himself sitting in the front row with me. We were slowing making our way up the ever-so-slow arrow lift hill. He was freaking out. After the ride was over Jim was shaking and could barely walk. He said it was fun, and decided to go on the Pitt Fall with us. Matt loved it and said he liked it better Stormrunner or Kraken.

We headed over for the Pitt Fall. At the exact moment we got strapped in, Jim looked kind of sick. While we were at the top, Matt was screaming like a little girl and Jim was holding on for dear life. During the drop, Dustin, Josh, and myself put our hands up like normal. Jim's face was the picture of fear... We decied to do it one more time before it was off to the Thunderbolt.

sorry it's so long, but more to come tomorrow....

X.x... speakin o that I was at kennywood today, rode the jack rabbit twice, racer twice, phantom three, thunderbolt four, exterminator once. All the coasters are great. BTW How did you convince him it was the line for the turtle... not only are there two BIG phantom's revenge signs, but the long line had to tell him something.
