SFGadv 7/27/06 fun, then wet

My sister had always wanted to go to Six Flags this year, its been about 5 years since she was last there so I took a day off work to go today. We got to the park around noon, went straight to El Toro but the line overflowed into the La Cocina area so we went to Medusa. The line was in the station so we waited about another 7 minutes for the front row. Nice ride. We then went back to El Toro and with the line right under the El Toro sign, we waited 1 hour 15 minutes exactly for a third to last row ride. Great ride like normal (picture below). Then we left the park to go to the safari and then to Wawa to get lupper. We then went back in the park, took a quick ride on Stuntmans Freefall, then waited about 30 minutes total for a front row ride on Nitro. Cant beat the front row for Nitro, its awesome. Then we went on Riptide. I've never been on it so we gave it a try. Its deffinatly a nice ride, I really liked it. We then went back to Nitro for a 5 minute wait 8th row ride. Then over to Kingda Ka just because I wanted my sister to try it. The line only filled up 3 rows of the switchback yet we waited an hour, their two train operation is ridiculous. Still, it was a great ride, we got the second row like always. Then we got in line for El Toro, waited about 30 minutes and were about 5 trains away waiting for the front row at about 8:30...and then the black clouds rolled in. Closed for lightning. We waited about 5 minutes and then left. As soon as we left the gates of the park, a huge crash of thunder opened the sky and the rain came down...hard. It was really a sight to see. Hundreds and hundreds of people running to their cars through a torrential downpour. When we finally got to our car, about 6 rows behind Superman, we were drenched. I drove the hour ride home soaking wet but it sure felt good when I changed into dry clothes. Anyways, it was a fun day, even thought I missed getting on the front row of El Toro by about 5 trains.

Totals:
El Toro - 1x
Kingda Ka - 1x
Nitro - 2x
Medusa - 1x
Riptide - 1x
Stuntmans Freefall - 1x

I'm in the white shirt with my sister next to me

Sounds like a great day. Nice picture too. Your sister looks really scared. Did she like Toro?
