Six Flags Over Texas Tips?

Hey everyone!!!

First off, long time no talk!!! Im glad to be finally getting back into going on coaster trips after a "break" from all of it. Im planning a Midwest trip, and I am leaving tomorrow, i was just wondering if anyone could give me any quick pointers about Six Flags Over Texas. Thats going to be my main park. Any help would be great!!! Thanks guys!!!

Do you have any specific questions about the park?

I know that Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is only four miles from Six Flags over Texas....so for the most part, there are shuttle bus services from the airport to most of the hotels around the park, so you won't have to rent a car.

I will advise you of their usual summer temps ranging from 95 to 105 degrees, so you will want to drink plenty of water or fluids and if you're not used to it, then slow down and take it really easy.

it will be HOT !!!

I went on a Sunday and it was fairly crowded. The heat index was 115 and the actual temp 107, in early June.

Waits were about 1 hour for Titan w/ 2 train op, faster with 3 train op, and then B:TR was about 35-40 min. Texas Giant had a long, long line. It was a large event that I was a part of at the park though, which could have influenced the crowds.

It shouldn't be busy if you are going during the week, but the weekends were pretty busy. The area has ALOT of people. The airport is close to the park, we stayed at the airport Hyatt and had about a 20 min drive to the park

Saturdays will surely by very crowded, Sundays can vary wildly (some busy days while other dead days), and weekdays for the most part should be fairly slow, unless a bunch of school groups gather at the park, which might happen occasionally.

Revived due to flooding. Any locals commenting on flooding down there? Is the flooding affecting the park physically or its attendance? Any highway routes to the park washed out? Of course, I won't be there until July 29th, and I hope the situation improves by then. Wish Ohio was getting some of that rain!
