Question SFGreatAdventure Food inside the park??

For those that are regulars to the park. I am planning a trip to the park and was wondering about food. I will be at the park open to about 5pm and was wondering what is the best meal for a good price inside the park. Or should I wait and eat at a proper resturant on the way to airport later in the day.

Meal for me: a good burger or a sit down meal, or BBQ, not much into the typical park nasty greasy food that makes you ill.
Something served say like from a Chilies, or a TGI Fridays kind of foods.

Figure if there is something good to eat in the park, I would take a break from coasters and get a meal otherwise just spend my time coastering and eat somewhere on the way to airport in the evening.
Any suggestions.

Or anybody know if a by the highway on the way to the PHL airport that would be like a chilies or a Fridays.

Thanks for any help.

I was just there for the first time last week and got the $99.99 deal that came with 2 meals and a bunch of other stuff. Anyhow, I got wings from one small place and they were pretty good, but for the price, there's a place called Grandma's Country Chicken or something like that. It's by Skull Mountain and the Ferris Wheel. A lot of food for a decent price.

IMo, the best food in the park is at La Cantina. Prices are decent, food is pretty good (Probably the freshest Mexican food you can get in an amusement park), great views of El Toro, nice atmosphere. Only downside is that it's all outdoor seating. Best food with indoor seating IMO is Best of the West. Pretty big (and good) burgers, prices aren't the best, but not bad for what you get, and if you want to sit outside in the shade, the back porch is the perfect getaway in the park. You forget you're even at Great Adventure back there.

I'll second Granny's Country Kitchen. They have chicken, fries, mac and cheese, salads, deserts, and beer. It's in a big air conditioned room. Lunch for 4 of us was $50. It's located next to Batman behind the ferris wheel. Two people can share a chicken meal and then you just order a side of mac and cheese. It's great food and the prices are reasonable. You'll save time by eating in the park, then you can go on more rides, versus eating at a restaurant along the highway.

We also flew out of PHL on US Air, and there was a nice restaurant next to our gate that had pasta salads, chicken, and all kinds of things. The bar next to it had a guy making wraps. So you'll find good food at SFNJ and PHL airport.

Personally, when I go to the park, you'll find me eating at either Papa Johns, which I guess you don't want, or Turkey Time. Turkey Time is in the boardwalk by the entrance to the Golden kingdom. The give you smoked turkey legs. They're awesome. You might like that, but it's like a stand, do you have to go a few stores down to go to find some seats. It's not like fast food though. It's very good IMO.
