Cedar Point question

Hey guys,

As you can see in my sig I'm heading up to Cedar Point in a few weeks (first time in 5 years for me).

Does CP offer free cups of water (tap water) at their restaurants?

This is something Carowinds does, but I wasn't sure if CP did or not.

Thx.

I've always recieved free water there. I only eat at the nicer sit down resteraunts though ( I can't stand greasy midway food). In the resteraunts like Fridays, Johnny Rockets, Macaroni's, Famous Dave's a free water is part of the service.

Ther are drinking fountains at many places along the midway so i don't know if the midway consessions will be so generous or not.

Another trick I oft do is purchase a sealed beverage at the beginning of the day, like water or a soda. Then refill the container with water from the fountains several times throughout the day.

I find the $3 soda quite annoying and would rather not patronize this sercvice.

Holidayworld started providing free beverages. I wish a few oters would follow along. Maybe not for free but for a reasonable price, that would be nice.

^ I totally agree. The free gatorade saved my lift (and wallet) last May when it was 95 degrees at Holiwood Nights!

I talked to Will Koch and he said that when they added it, their food sales actually went up because people were more likely to stay in the park and eat because of the difference in price.

I know full well that the sodas cost them about 25 cents a piece if that much.

The only thing about buying a bottle is that you have to carry it with you everywhere you go and I hate that. So parks that have free water are the way to go IMO.

Thanks for the info!

I have a very rare fact for you.

All (or maybe just most) of the stands at cedar point give free ice water, they just dont advertise it.

So you should be fine.

I was able (last year) to get free water everywhere. But, its about the smallest cup that is manufactured, and can be drank within seconds. There are drink machines in basically every queue, but, a bottle of water is (if I remember correctly) $3.50.

*Random* you're going to CP the day after my last day there. I'm going June 10, 11, 12, and 13.

Technically, I think it's illegal in a lot of places to not provide water if it is needed...

They will also fill up your water bottle for you.

Wes...one thing that I will recommend to you is to hit the Market Buffet up by Raptor when you're ready to eat. It's 13-14 bucks, but well worth it for the unlimited drink. The food isn't the best, but it beats paying $4 for a pretzel every time you get the munchies.

Back in 2003, CP had a promotion where if you bought this obnoxiously large TTD Cup for $10, they filled it for FREE the rest of the season. Are they still doing this?
