| Dorney Class Trip The title states what I did today. The park wasn't very crowded, but I went with a group of people who weren't quite tobrave, so I didn't do everything as I wanted. I rode Talon twice, good as always, Steel Force once, also good return run of airtime, Hydra twice, Laser once, Dominator each side once. Also rode Revolution, White Water Landing, Thunder Canyon Rapids, and Thunderhawk once.
Not much changed since last time, but some things. I finally got my front row ride on Laser. I may have gotten it before, but I forgot, but now I remember. Good stuff, but the ride doesn't differ as much between seats as most other coasters do.
I've ridden Hydra three times before, each time in the front. In May, it vibrated very badly and sort of hurt. This time, I rode in row 5 and 7, and not only was the ride much better in the back, but it was less vibrant. I assume that it's because the metal has warmed and expanded, and doesn't have as much room to shake around.
I didn't ride SS, because it doesn't seem so worth it anymore. Why is it that Kennywood and Cedar Point and Valley Fair have it free but Knott's and Dorney don't? Yes, Knott's and Dorney seat a lot less at a time, but it doesn't make sense because it's the same ride. They need to devise a way to make it free. Such as, on each adult ticket stub is one voucher to ride it once. That way, they can charge for re-rides, but they should give at least one ride for free.
