Wink Sheikra Media Day, Where did the Floors go?

I had the previledge to attend Media Day on June 15th for the new floorless SheiKra. The front row is the most notable change as the ride experience is greatly enhanced. The large track size makes it seem like you are driving a car down a sidewalk. The visual experience is amazing from the front. All though the cars were pretty open before the switch, I think its better with out the floor as you look down the drop you see the whole track and sitting on the side you kinda get a side view of the drop as you fall. Really the ride is the same its just an improvement on the visual aspect of the ride. The back row is still my favorite ride experience as you sit a bit higher in the air. I did notice that all the seats seemed a bit higher from the track becuase of the design of the floorless trains. Must say I give the floorless trains a thumbs up.

Members of the American Coaster Enthusiasts were invited out to Busch Gardens Tampa to participate in the another Media Day. The park upgraded one of its roller coasters with new floorless designed trains. Members of the club arrived for a 5 am check in and short walk over to SheiKra. We were invited to the park to ride thier improved roller coaster and be film stand in for the media doing there live coverage on the roller coaster. The view from the front seat is very open now as you can see around and under your feet. Looking down the drop while hanging waiting drop is an awesome visual as you look straight down the first drop. The out side seats the view is a little different as you are far to the side of the track which is a unique view as the coaster runs its coarse. SheiKra was a good before the switch and with the upgrade to floorless really makes for a great roller coaster.
Enjoy!!!

^I hope the members of ACE didn't act like the asses that they are perceived to be.

Otherwise, good report Johnny.

Thanks guys the photos came out pretty nice coarse it was a beautiful day so that helped. Wish I was a better writer and could give a more in depth review but as everybody knows that has been to my site, Johnny aint no writer.

Andrew the only ass there was me . Really though this gathering was one of the best showings of ACE and FLCC members being responsible and helpful riders, following the rules and no crying about stuff as the perception goes.

I didn't think the ride would change much view-wise. At least now I wouldn't have the Busch Gardens nameplate to block my front row view like the first time I rode.
