| | | Cedar Point 6/22/07 I went to Cedar Point on the 22nd. It was great, as always. It was a perfect day to ride coasters, and to ride Maverick!
I started the day off by getting up, brushing my teeth, and going... wait! Forget about that. Lets go to what happened at the park!!
I first rode Troika, which is basically a tradition. It was a little more creaky than usual, though. Disaster Transport was closed then. I didn't really care, because it isn't that good of a ride. Then I rode Scrambler and Iron Dragon, which was my first coaster of the day. Even though I went on a Friday, the wait for most of the rides were a quarter of an hour .
Corkscrew was closed then, too, because mind you I went into the park at like 10:05. Park opens at 10. Most of the coasters were still being tested.
I trekked my way down to the other side of the park, hoping to ride Maverick. The wait for it was an hour and a half, but it was only around 11:15. So I waited in line. It was soooooo slow. But, I finally got on.
The launch hill was really cool. You stay out of the station for about 20 seconds, and then you get launched. Probably only at 10 mph. But you're up that hill in like 6 seconds. The drop is unique, because it is straight down, then at the end it goes to 95 degrees. Those twisted horseshoe rolls! They are great! The launch tunnel is actually quite enjoyable, until you go past the railroad sign. Then it gradually launches you to 70 mph. Its a long tunnel. Very long. AWESOME COASTER OVERALL!!!
After this I went over to Chick-Fil-A, conveintly located next to Maverick, and got some chicken (what else at Chick-Fil-A!).
Then I went and rode the Mine Ride, after walking off the chicken. It was nice and relaxing, considering I felt no G's at all!
After this then I rode Gemini (how cant i!)
I started heading down to the Midway after this. I rode the Tilt-A-Whirl and the Caddy Cars, then went to get a funnel cake. Mean Streak wasn't far, so I decided to go ride Mean Streak. I mean, how bad can it be! This was my first time riding it, but I thought it would be a good coaster. Wrong! The first hil you feel absoutley no G's. Come to think of it, you really don't feel any G's during the whole ride. That was also the bumpiest ride I've ever rode, too! It gave me a headache!
I started going down the Midway, again, and rode the Corkscrew. My head hurt after that, too. So then I went and ate some dinner at Macaroni's. I got a hot dog that was burnt.
Then I went and played some Midway games. I actually won the Speed Pitch! Since they didn't have any Cleveland bats, I got a Boston bat, because that's the team I play for in Rec. Ball.
Then I went home. It was a very enjoyable day. I hope I get to come again this year!!

| | | Good TR. Except that you didn't ride much. No MF, TTD, WT, Raptor, Gemini, Blue Streak, maXair, or Skyhawk?

Considering how I ripped SkierGirl on her Trip report (or as some would like to think, but then again, those that thought I ripped it are slow, since I actually agreed with most of her comments and said so) I must do the same to GeminiRider. Troika a tradition? For my family, its the Blue Streak. But I've always enjoyed Troika. Again I also enjoyed it in the old location.
I agree with you on Disaster Transport. They never should have enclosed Avalanche Run. Scrambler? Wow. I think Carnies run it better, but I think I was a kid when I rode this.
Nice to see you had fun on Maverick. Mine Ride, you rode the Mine Ride?? Isn't that good for a nap? As is Iron Dragon. Little story on the Mine Ride. I was at CP with my brother in 2001. We were on the ride and halfway up the second lift hill, we stopped. I let out a small cheer having never EVER been stopped on a lift before. Then we rolled backwards a few inches and were stopped by the click clacks (I refuse to use enthusiast terminology). With that, another cheer, and a look of disgust from the mother in front of me. Aparently her young daughter was scared. Sure enough, a ride-op came up the lift and told us it would only be a few minutes. Apparently a fat-ass had trouble getting out in the station. (If you feel offended, haters, its true, those trains are small and snug).
You rode the Caddy Cars and my absolute favorite, Tilt-a-Whirl!! But the question is...can you get those cars to spin or SPIN?
Supposedly if you ride Mean Streak on a muggy day, its a better ride. Otherwise, it feels like you need a bottle of Advil or Motrin afterwards. But how are you going to know, unless you ride it first?
Trick to Corkscrew is this: You need to hold your head steady and on the loop-de-loops over the crowd, lean your head to the right. You'll the park flip twice.
You screwed up at Macaronis. They have good pizza. Get that next time. Another place with good pizza is right by Raptor. As a kid, we'd always get pizza by there. (or maybe it was closer to Blue Streak...)
Now for my analysis. You missed a lot of coasters that enthusiasts enjoy, and for that your report might have failed. However, due to the fact you rode a bunch of flats that many of us take for granted, your trip report rocks!

| | I have no absolute clue how I didn't put in Gemini! I rode it twice. Both blue train (my favorite). We won one and lost one.
Thanks for saying my report was good Andrew Polcyn.

| | | ^^People still slapping hands as red and blue race during the curves? Gemini is a good coaster you can marathon.

| | | ^^^ I wondered why you didn't ride it! I enjoyed Gemini when I went to CP. I rode it on both the red and blue trains but we lost both times. |

| | Yea, people still clap hands. My mom said she left her back at where they branch off at the end, but I was perfectly fine. She's pretty old, too. That might have been the problem
