Playland Park ("Killer Park") and two others

On Sunday I decided it was time to see the crime scene that is called Playland Park. I have to say, it looks really nice. It's the same type of park as the boardwalk parks, but it looks a lot more classy. That doesn't make it exceptional, this isn't an AB park.

Anyway, like I expected on the way there, Superflight was closed. No Zamperla Volare on my count today. I rode the Dragon Coaster, which is a very fun ride. It looks like it has newer Morgan trains. Lots of double downs and hills, but nothing more than weak floater air. Still a very fun ride, and it goes on for a longer time then one would expect.

The log flume there is cool too. The drops were a lot steeper than I expected. Also a very good ride, but small.

The S&S Double Shot wasn't comprable to the one in Keansburg. The one in Keansburg shoots you down each time you come up, This one lets you just fall back down. Sorta lame.

Then I went and got the Wild Mouse and family coaster credits, used up my tickets, and left. The Kiddy Coaster didn't let me on because of height restrictions.

The today I went to Rise & Scream at GAdv. It was Toro and Ka day. I rode Toro 3 times in front, twice in the back, and Ka twice in the front before the GP showed up. Then I rode Nitro Medusa and Toro once more each, plus the water rides, and I left. Kingda Ka was very smooth this time, and I was on the rough (green gak) train. Was it because it was still the morning?

I went to Keansburg on the way home, got my Wildcat credit, rode the Doubleshot, and went home.

Interesting two days and three parks. Especially comparing Rye with Keansburg. They are the same type of park, yet Rye has better upkeep and looks better. But i guess Keansburg really needs to keep it's Jersey feel.

I love Dragon Coaster at Rye. It was the biggest surprise for being an older coaster and delivering a really intermediate-longer length ride. It banked like an old coaster but I liked the drops. Not extreme, not boring, but fun. It's too bad you'd didn't get Super Flight. The chest restraint does feel tight against your chest. You'd see that's it's no B&M or even a Vekoma but it's a decent try from Zamperla.

Since it seemed like a visit to Keansburg was a legit thing to do I'll try to get there. I got enough credits in this area that I need to start raking the smaller places.

Next time you go to Rye, get on their carousel. No upward poles. I think Rye and Cedar Point have these rare models.

Speaking of which, we have to update Wildcat at Keansburg in the database as open not SBNO.
