Yes, the park is open all day on Fridays for Howl-O-Scream. Friday mornings are awesome as the park is usually pretty low in attendance. Then it picks up around 4:00-5:00.

It is not a bad event to go to...but they could easily do much better. However, you should go check it out for yourself. You might like it.

When I went in '05, the day started out cold and rainy. Every row of Alpie and Loch Ness were walk-ons, and AC was a walk on for most of the day. The only coaster that had a wait was BBW, and that wasn't until much later in the day. The theming is ok I guess, but The haunted house where DF used to sit was my favorite.

Agreed with rollerfreaker, it's ok, but nothing spectacular.

If I remember correctly, they are open all day Friday. IMO, Howl-O-Scream isn't very good. If you look around, you'll spot security guards around any "hidden" people waiting to scare you (which I can understand, but it still kinda ruins the effect). So you're prepared when they jump out at you. The attractions are ok, but when they say "recommended for those 17 and up", thats a joke, they could easily be used by just about anyone. If you're wanting to be scared, don't expect to be (unless it has changed since 2005). It is really cool to ride the coasters at night though. Rollerfreaker is correct, they could do much better.
