| | | Six Flags Great Adventure - July 25 Me and my friend got to the park around 3:00 and I was nervous because the parking lot was very crowded. We got in the park and the park was very crowded so I was worried to see the lines. We went straight to Kingda Ka. The line was coming back around to the locker area but only one row of the switchback was used so it wasnt so bad. Well with the crew literally pumping the trains out one after another, we were on the second row in about 20 minutes, great ride like normal. Then we went over to El Toro where the first full switchback was taken up. Again, the crew pumping out trains, when one train would reach the brake run, the other train was starting to ascend the lift. Only about a 15 minute wait for the third to last row, great ride like normal. Next we took the skyway which was about a 5 minute line to Nitro. Nitro was about a 10 minute wait, second row, good ride. Then the skyway back to El Toro for basicly the same ride as before (but last row this time). Then to Kingda Ka for about a 15 minute wait second row. This ride on KK was the best I've ever had. For some reason the launch was like 10 times as intense as normal and we FLEW over the tophat. I dont know why but it felt like we could have easily been going 135mph.
So it was now around 7:00 and we were ready to leave. We go back to my friends car....his keys arent in his pocket. They're gone. They must have fell out of his buttoned cargo pockets on one of the rides but we have no idea which one so we basicaly gave up on ever seeing them again. He called his parents and they made the hour long drive each way to give him another key. We rode the ferris wheel while we waited. So around 9:00 we finally left, went to visit a friend in Deal, and came home. We might go back tomorrow night for the Ryan Cabrera/Click 5 concert.
totals:
El Toro - 2x
Kingda Ka - 2x
Nitro - 1x
Skyway - 2x
Big Wheel - 1x
notes:
the park was running the best I've ever seen. Everything was running at full capacity which I've never seen before. Both sides of the skyway, 4 train on KK, 3 trains on Nitro, every flat I saw was running. At 8:30ish we went out to the parking lot to wait for my friends parents and until 9 when they got there, I didn't see KK launch at all so I dont know what was up with that but the whole time I was in the park, I didn't see a brakedown on anything.

| | | I had a friend that lost keys before. We could see them leave her pocket on NITRO to join the sunglasses another friend lost on that ride.

| | | I'm glad that you had a good time at the park despite the key incident. That's pretty impressive that you got two rides on both of the most popular rides, seems like the crews were really doing their jobs well. The same thing happened to my brother and sister the last time they went to six flags. My sister's boyfriend lost his keys on one of the rides but they weren't as lucky as you; we live about 3 hours away from the park. They had to hitchhike with some people to the nearest hotel...I'm glad I didn't go with them that day!! |

| | | The ride crews have been absolutely AMAZING this week. They're hitting numbers I haven't heard before. Crazy capacity.

| | | When I was part of a coaster crew years ago, about this time of year we'd spit out CHILLER trains instantly. Ride crews must be hitting the groove.
