Days 5-6 SFOT and one more museum

Reminder all pictures will be posted following the trip.

Part 1 and 2 of 2

Arrive in Arlington at 4pm Sunday with a thunderstorm and flood warning for Dallas. Check in to motel first, then brief supper before going to park.

First impression not good. Only one gate open to enter park! Strollers taking extra time thru security, finally someone notices. Line cutting is a problem all day. Park layout very confusing.

Batman – inverted 1/2 hr wait, 7/10 A little rougher than the SFSL version

Mr. Freeze – shuttle 1/2 hr wait or more (same) still running only one train, but this time the other train is visible on other side.

Flashback – boomerang 1 train wait, 7/10 a fairly smooth boomerang, although the harness got tight during the ride.

Mine Train – flooding and electric problems, try again tomorrow.

Enjoyed the Cirque Dreams Coobrila show. A nice family show with great acrobats and music.

Shockwave – double loop 1 train wait, 9/10 my friend likes sitting toward the back, so we enjoyed some ejector airtime at night.

Texas Giant and Titan closed for the above show, try again tomorrow.

Runaway Mountain – indoor steel 1 train wait, 8/10 very dark couldn’t tell where you were going next!

ACME Rock-n-Rocket – looping ship, 10/10 a rare and very enjoyable ride. It was fun seeing other people’s expressions on the ride.

More tomorrow.

Part 2 - Monday
Forecast not good, more rain and flooding for Texas. Arrive at park by 10:45 AM.

Headed to La Vibora closed until noon.
Then Titan and Texas Giant – same story. Train closed.

Ride antique cars. 6/10 Steering messed up on the car, but nicer scenery than WOF.

Ride (Sam boat ride) 8/10 great job on a story line and moving Looney Toons characters.

There is a surprise rain shower, sky gets dark after the shower.

We get in line for Texas Giant, they open the line and then spot lightning.

The train is now open and we take a nice ride all the way around. 10/10 funniest conductor I’ve ever had! He turned a rainy ride into a fun ride.

We check Runaway Mountain and the line is way too long.

Ride merry go round 8/10 music working and high capacity. Some kids were jmping from horse to horse.

And then we called it a day. Left park at 2:15 PM and head to the Boy Scouts of America Museum in Irving TX. As an Eagle Scout, I enjoyed all the exhibits.
We spent the night at motel near Hot Springs AR.
