Geauga Lake and Wildwater Kingdom

Convinced my father to come to the park yesterday 8-8-07 after he had not so great a time the last few times. We were only there for a few hours as he had to work and all.

Arrived at about 7:30 and parked on the Wildwater Kingdom side. Stopped at the restrooms near Happy Harbor, where apparently the Men's side has issues with the lights, and has had those since late June.

The park seemed a bit crowded which was surprizing. We stopped and talked to people for about an hour and then headed onto the rides.

First ride was the Yo-Yo, which from what I've heard they fixed the cycle on the ride, and it seems like it goes for a longer duration. Always a classic and one of my favorite swing rides. 8/10.

Onto the coaster side, Raging Wolf Bobs is STILL closed, and no sign of any progress whatsoever. Very very disappointed. First coaster, Dominator front seat.

Dominator-10 Minute Wait
Front or back seat of this ride is the place to be. My father and I decided to ride front seat, and as usual I was on the outside seat. Lots of air-time, very smooth, in fact the only spot where I felt any hint of roughness was coming into the brakes. As usual this is a B&M that doesn't disappoint. 10/10

The Villain-5 Minute wait
We decided to be fearless and ride this coaster in both the front and back seats. Up first was the back seat. Waited one train for the seat, and it was worth it. This ride has become a coaster with non-stop action that won't leave you in massive amounts of pain. I am glad the trick track no longer exists. It seems like the ride travels a bit faster.

Front seat was another one train wait, and you seem to get a lot of airtime in this seat. Everytime we went up a hill I was ejected out of my seat. This coaster seems a lot more enjoyable than what it has been.

Both sides get a 10/10.

Beaverland Mine Ride- Rode toward the back, but not the back car.

Since we had to pick up and employee from the waterpark side, we headed back toward that side and just chilled in Happy Harbor for a little bit. The park seems a lot different from what I remember.

Good-As usual no real waiting times, friendly employees, decent weather, and we arrived about the time the waterpark closed so people who had been at the park all day were leaving.

Bad-Everything always closes so early...

Ugly-The Maintenance department or whoever is in charge of fixing the restrooms needs to do there job...

Sounds like a fun trip. GL has really improved from the last few years and I wouldn't be surprised to see a slight increase from last year.

I'm surprised you thought Villain had that much airtime. When I rode it the drops were pretty fun but I found there to be basically no airtime.

Villain wasn't as good the last few years as it was the year it opened. I really liked the trick track when it was new but over the past few years it slowed the train and made it rough...
