Dorney Park - May 23rd (Photos)

Better late than never... I guess.

So I hadnt been to Dorney in a few years (last went when Hydra was new) and my friend just started to ride coasters last year... So we stopped at Dorney on the way down to Kings Dominion.

VooDoo had just opened a few days before our trip

It was new for my friend Rob, but I rode it in Ohio.

It looks a lot nicer here than as Superman

Rob asks Little Laser man why it and big laser are closed... Missed credits for him.

'Big' Laser tested.. But never opened.

After VooDoo we went over to Steel Force... But it was closed so we rode Thunderhawk.

After that we saw Steel Force had opened. My friend Rob until getting to Dorney had only been on a 130 foot coaster, then he rode VooDoo making it his tallest.. So now he wanted to try a 200+ foot ride --- Steel Force.

After a lot of coasters.. We rode a few flats, like the Monster.

Wild Mouse was closed all day (as were 3 other coasters)

Hydra was better than when I rode it in 05.. But its still too tame for me.

Talon is still my only real reason for going back to Dorney, although VooDoo helps a lot now.

And before we left to drive down to Doswell VA (having left my house at 4am to drive to Dorney)... We took a quick ride on the only open kiddie coaster.

Oh.. And they also have this waterpark.. But it wasnt opened yet for the season.

It would've been funny if I appeared candid in one of your photos. Although I doubt we crossed paths, I would've noticed crazy hair...

I suppose it's possible that I'm in one of your Voodoo or Talon pics, since you can't see the people.

Oh, and little laser was open at some point, but I was denied, so you would have been too.

I was denied Little Laser a long, long time ago in like 2000 so I never tried again and it should be printed in the Dorney Bible of visiting the park. With the closures it sounded like SFMM of old. I appear two seconds on the Robin side of CHILLER in someone's Coaster after Dark 2007 video on gadv.com. Hydra hasn't changed for me. Still a B&M Family floorless mine train coaster. I'll be there next week 6/22.
