A very Magical evening at DCA, and a little DLR Started off relatively late, since I did have to work earlier in the day. My friend called me up and asked if I wanted to chill in the parks. Since he works in Guest Relations I kind of had my own personal tour guide.
Went into the park around 8pm and was just walking around absorbing the sites. Spent some time in the Animation Studio checking out some of the things that I had not seen before. The Sorcerers Palace was really cool and I especially liked the Under The Sea part, and the Beast's Library. Also I was able to see the Toy Store Zoetrope and Turtle Talk With Crush.
We stopped by to see if Monsters Inc. had a line still, only to find out it was closed down. Stopped at Tower of Terror to check the wait...120 minutes. Had to run over to Paradise Pier to check the wait for Toy Story mania and get in line for California Screamin'. Toy Story had about a 3 hour wait.
Screamin'--20 Minute Wait
Since the park was closing there were no more requests being made for the front or back seats. I lucked out and my friend and I were placed in the back row! I must say that the coaster looks amazing at night, as does the rest of Paradise Pier. Also for some reason it seemed to be running a lot faster at night. It was the best ride I've had on a coaster in quite some time. 10/10
We watched the fireworks from near the exit of DCA and headed toward DLR a little before the fireworks were over.
There was not a whole lot we did in DL besides stop and get a Corndog from the cart, get an extra pin back for one of my ones that was almost lost, and walked around a lot.
All in all it was a great trip for not really riding any rides. 98/100
