I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this... but I was pleasently surprised to find that it had some killer ejector air! Lots of good pops on the hills... I tried to jump at the top of the loop, but the Gs were too strong.
Seeing as how the load crew was so slow, I decided to move on. I wound up here:
I got on in 1-1-L after about 15 minutes (there was a slight delay while they put the second train on, I think). I got into a conversation with a man who was at the park with his daughter, and the man seemed to know a bit about coasters. We had a nice time talking with each other during the wait.
I liked Anaconda. It had a neat layout, although it went really slow. The tunnel was neat, although you couldn't really see the watersplash effects from onride.
I tried to head over to Volcano, but I ended up at Flight of Fear, so I decided to go on. I wear perscription sunglasses, and I coudn't see anything in the line with them on, so I had to lower them and squint to see where to go. My new buddies from Anaconda ended up right behind me in the line. They ended up going one train before me in 1-2, while I waited for my 1-1-R ride. The lap bar crushed my right foot, which sucked, but at least I didn't have to worry about head banging. The MCBR trims were on hard and made the train slow to a crawl, but it picked up speed quickly enough that I didn't mind. It is such a neat little ride. Here is a slightly blurry pic from inside the station:
After that, I headed over to my real destination:
I got on 1-1-L after about 25 minutes. There was a man who called out for a single rider for the front seat, so I got to skip 4 or 5 trains of people. Mike (the man)'s wife was having some stomache problems so she decided to skip out at the last second. So Mike and I had a "blast" together on the ride (pun clearly intended). We had a little chat about my trip and they were really impressed. After we got off the ride, he shook my hand and wished me good luck on my trip. My parents have said that I tend to leave an impression on people... so I guess this is one more example.
I decided that I may as well get KD's "Back Lot Italian Job" (Doesn't that sound great?) stunt coaster:
After waiting a few minutes, I got on 1-1-R. Same thing, pretty much. They had the helicopter and the fire working, but not the water.
I decided to go try some of their woodies next. I went on Rebel Yell (It would be so much better going backwards 8( ). There was some good air time, but it was very rough. There was a hill near the entrance to the turnaround that really kinked my back. I decided to not do any more woodies. Instead I grabbed a chocolate shake at the Jupebox.
It was getting close to closing time, so I went over to Dominator to get a few rides in. I got two more in the back row before the line started to get bigger... so I power walked back to Volcano and got in line. I was on the last train out... all by myself!!! There's just something about having your own train that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I found that 1-1-R is rougher than 1-1-L. I was getting a lot more headbanging than my first ride.
As I was headed back to my car, I noticed that Dominator has red chaser lights going up the lift:
There were storm clouds approaching, so I hurried back to my car. As I was driving back to my hotel, it started to rain lightly. When I got to my hotel, the rain had stopped, but there were lightning flashes.
Depending on the weather, I may go to Busch Gardens Europe instead of KD again.
I need to go to bed now... nighty night, everyone!
