It wasn't running, unfortunately. It looked like the power was on, but the train valleyed right before the station.
I also found CoasterDynamix's "Griffon" (also not running...) from the 2007 IAAPA convention:
I bought 1 Griffon, 1 Alpengeist, and 2 Apollo's Chariot trains.
Alright, back on topic!
There wasn't much of a line for Alpie, and I was going to wait for the front, but there weren't any groups of 3 that would have skipped the "40 minute wait" for the front, so I went for the back. I got on after about 15/20 minutes of waiting. It was awesome! Very interesting start, with the big turning drop into a gigantic immellman!
At this point my stomache was practically trying to kill me because I hadn't eaten enough (last food I had was the milkshake at KD). So after wandering around for at least 30 minutes, maybe even closer to an hour, I finally found a place that served "normal" food. Chicken tenders and fries (I really don't mind eating the same thing over and over). After that I was ready to go! So I went over to Loch Ness Monster, which was basically a walk on (for the back seat). That lift is sooooOooOoo slow! But when you finally get to the drop, it is surprisingly powerful (maybe because I just ate). I got a lot of ejector. Then a turn around and into the first loop!
The train then climbs a little hill and goes into a huge helix inside of a cave. The helix was pretty forceless, IMO. Then you hit the second lift, which takes you into the second loop:
...and then right back into the station. Neato.
I decided that it was now time to head over to the big blue thing. you know, the big one that does stuff and goes like 300 miles an hour and is like 500 feet tall? Except really it isn't that much, it is actually named:
