| Carowinds 6-28 and 6-29 Hello everyone. First post even though I have read here a long time. Normally if at all possible My Wife and I don't do parks on weekends, but this time we didn't really have a choice. Saturday as expected was super packed. That coupled with the almost unbearable heat did not make for a very fun day. However we did ride the standards like the Cyclone and Hurler which we both enjoyed. After a brief rain shower, we were able to catch a ride on Afterburn with out much wait. I enjoyed it alot as I am a huge B&M fan (I can see how some people call it a baby version of Montu)I was kinda dissapointed that Vortex was closed both days (It didn't look like it was even being worked on cause nothing ever moved on it all weekend) Even though I knew Thunder road was still closed, I was still kinda dissapointed we missed it. We actually had fun on the Fairly Odd Coaster just for a change. Ricochet was fun I guess (even though once you have ridded any Wild Mouse its kinda the same) Sunday wasn't quite as crowded we got there 30 mins before the park opened (And still had to wait like 20 mins to ride Nighthawk :-) ) Oh well at least now I can say I have ridden it. I guess I enjoyed it for the novelty even though it was somewhat rougher than I thought it would be. The long wait and somewhat slow loading process seem to cloud the fun factor a bit. All in all thought we had a good time and it was good to return to carowinds after 20 years to see how much it had changed.
Thanks,
Ryan |
