| | | Surprise Germany trip report So I'm on a 3 week long exchange trip in Germany, (two weeks spent living with a host family and exchange student who already lived in my house, and one week traveling around the country with our chaperones) and the first day here we went to the local town hall which tourists can walk into and has a tower from which miles of the town (Hannover) can be seen. While I was up there I had no idea what was there, but you know how us coaster enthusiasts work, the coaster radar is always working even when your not aware of it and I managed to pick out some portable coaster about 3/4 finished or 1/4 taken down (I didn't know which one at the time). I instantly recognized it as a schwarzkopf but had no idea which one and thought it was very sad that I would or probably already had missed it. How wrong I was.
It is actually Olympia Looping, opening at the Schutzenfest Hannover this weekend which I just discovered and have now asked my host family and we are soo going. I am a big Schwarzkopf fan and this type of thing is such a once in a lifetime opportunity there is no way I can miss this. It opens this Friday through Sunday I believe.
I will certainly take a ton of pictures but I will most unfortunately be unable to put them on the web until July 14 (probably the day after that though, since I'll be probably be tired from the plane ride back and just want to go to bed.) I cannot wait for this weekend and then post the pics up here. Hope everyone's having a good summer back in the states, I'll be back in about one and a half weeks.

| | | That's a great opportunity, take advantage of it. I regret not doing a French exchange back in elementary school and also in middle school. A lot of my friends did it and they had a great time, they even got to go to Parc Asterix (or whatever it's called).
As for the coaster, you're a lucky man as well. It looks like a great coaster. I love every Schwarzkopf I've ridden!

| | | OK, I am back in the country, but seeing as the past few days haven't been all that condusive to a working atmosphere photos and other stuff still have not found their way through an eletrical cord onto my computer. They will, perhaps by later on today (actually tomorrow as I would like to go to bed soon) but people don't worry, my memory of the event is still rather vivid and will remain so for quite some time. I'll be writing and posting a bit later, good night.

| | | Can't wait to hear your opinion of the ride. I've always heard that the Olympia Looping was very good.

| | | I did like it very much, I gave it 5 stars in this website's roller coaster database.
Speaking of which, and for database mods: Is there any way we can find some way to change, select, or have people input where they rode portable coasters? Since right now it says I rode it at Oktoberfest which definitely did not happen.
So I may have lied a bit about when I would put the pictures up but here they are... finally.

| | | Though they are technically my photos I personally did not shoot all of them as I am in the train in quite a few of them. Bit it still does feel awesome that I was there.
Edit/P.S. I have resized all the photos so they would fit into the database here and uploaded all 19 of them, Hooray!
