Photo TR: Nickelodeon Universe

Nickelodeon Universe at MOA - June 21

Derrijk and I decided to take a trip up I-35 to check out the parks in the Twin Cities. After spending most of the day at Valleyfair, we went over to Mall of America to check out the NEW park in the middle of the mall - Nickelodeon Universe. To say that Sponge Bob is an awesome coaster is an understatement... on to the PTR!

Glad to hear you had a good time (I actually live like 5 minutes from the hotel you stayed at). Nice photos too...

^Thanks

^^Looty, are you going to Coaster Craze?
Also it is rather funny that I have now stayed all 3 of those motels now at that exit in that area thanks to Priceline -- though Hyatt Place is by far the nicest of the three

I don't see why more parks dont get Eurofighters like this one, I mean they are nice looking coasters(granted I have yet to ride one) and from what I hear they are pretty cheap to. Anyways, great TR, Mall or America seems like it keeps getting better and better.

Great TR!. The new theming looks great. Nice and bright compared to the camp Snoopy theme. Still I'll miss the Peanuts alot.

Eurofighter - Excellent choice for Lake Compounce?

This Spongbob looks like where I can experience the Drachen Fire cutback.

I wonder that as well. Sponge Bob is a great addition to this park and gives them more of a "grown-up" coaster now. That role before SB was Timberland Twister (Fairly Odd Coaster) which really didn't DO it for a lot of the "grown-ups".

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments on the PTR.

Great trip report. I really wish some park in New England would build a Euro-Fighter so I could get on one.

Are the restraints like the ones on Mystery Mine? They kind of bop me around some, but still not as bad as an Arrow.

Yes SB and MM both have the same type of restraints, but SB did not "bop" me around when I rode it.
